It’s brilliant when people pretend that the black lives matter slogan means that ONLY black lives matter. It’s not stupidity that guides them to that conclusions, it’s their own racism. The scary thing is, they don’t know they’re racist because they think you can only be racist if you use a racial slur.

What’s more amazing is that others are surprised that people who have been shat on in the USA for 400 years are rebelling. I’m not excusing the chaos but history tells us that this is human nature. If you think you’re at the bottom then you’ll fight to get to the top, or at least an equal standing.

When violence, looting and the likes come into protests and demonstrations it only reinforces the idea that that section of society need to be treated with force, as seen by Trumps tweet

Unfortunately the cause the majority are fighting for is undermined and lost amongst the chaos.

Although I don't condone the violence and looting and there's definitely a lot of people who are taking advantage of this...I totally understand why it's happening.

As a race, black people are surpressed in America. I know we have plenty of race related issues here but it's astounding how institutionally racist that country is.

And it will only get worse with sc*m like Trump in charge.

Op can you expand on this? Who would you believe instead? Twitter? (Even less regulated and open to manipulation). Interesting to see where you are going with this ( I haven’t been across this story so much).

Did you read the article?

Extracts:
---
"There are detractors. There are white supremacists. There are anarchists," Lt. Gov. Peggy Flanagan said Saturday afternoon.

Leggat, the security consultant, said intelligence reports from his colleagues indicate most of the hard-core protesters in Minneapolis are far-left or anarchists, and that far-right groups have not yet made a significant appearance.
---
Nothing in there proves or disproves of right wing infiltrators or agitators. It just says the right wing haven't made a significant appearance.

Both articles should be read rather than taken just by their headlines.

Trump sent out a tweet where it was claimed 80% of white people are killed by black. He is a lunatic but gets away with it.

I agree with that statement in isolation but like I said do you own research about what has happened in the past and the delicate machination at play right now.

Don't blindly follow what you hear on the media. If you do this and still feel the same way then thats your right. Imo a line has now been drawn. Not between white and black, but between those who "support" and do not support the cause. And whatever the outcome, to quote GOT the north will remember which side of the line you were.

The biggest complaint I hear against BLM is that it's mostly blacks killing blacks on the streets.

Also, these protests aren't going to change anything, just get more people killed.

Same as other presidents then. Democracy is a short term system, they only care about getting elected and then re-elected.

Everything killer mike said hit the nail on the head.
Burning down your own houses and looting increases tension. Doesn't change anything. Achieves nothing.

I respect what BLM is trying to achieve but just feel it's not the right solution, as I said on your last article.
Always swayed towards Martin Luther ideology than malcolm x.

Nearly 40% of black Americans felt X wasnt the answer, who preached segregation not integration, and I can't help but think even when these demonstrations have the best intentions, they are hijacked.

Them riots were people just burning 5hit and looting from their own shops for the hell of it. Legislation and accountability doesn't change cos u burn most your district. Was so sad watching it unfold.

Luther would have she'd a tear at the guys unjust death and shed more at the aftermath. X would've called for more violence.

Killer mike is the voice the people need to listen to. Always been so insightful and a real role model. Run the jewels make unreal music too.

Black on black violence is a huge problem but unfortunately they’re a product of their environment and are caught up in a system that has always worked against them. They grow up in poor areas flooded with narcotics and have very little opportunity so it’s no surprise that so many take the path of least resistance because from an early age they see the world through a very narrow prism which is thrust upon them by misfortune and an unequal economic system.

And through that begins a vicious cycle of young black fathers being put in jail or being absentee for other reasons which means their kids grow up without a responsible male role model meaning they’re very likely to make the same mistakes their fathers did and so on.

And the saddest thing is that even if young black people can make it out of the spiral of despair, some are met with thuggish and brutal cops like the ones we saw in that video.

Of course many black people manage to have very good lives and life in America is a great thing for them and it’s important to remember that and keep it part of the narrative because I don’t think it helps young black people to only think despair lurks for them in later life - for self esteem reasons they have to believe there is a light at the end of the tunnel but unfortunately for many, they are born with problems beyond their control that sadly will stop them from reaching their true potential.

That complaint is a weak one and a cop out.

People getting killed anyway. If the cause of the protests were dealt with, the killing of Floyd wouldn't have happened to spark this.

Sadly, I don't think much will change. They'll allow the riots to happen so the protesters can be lumped in with them. Then they'll use violence against both alike.

I watch what’s going on in the states in total disbelief. It’s like watching a social experiment gone wrong, on a massive scale. How can their police force be so institutionally racist? I get the ‘shoot first, ask questions later’ approach, It’s a country with more guns than brain cells. But they’re killing black people in broad daylight who are clearly unarmed. They’re killing black people in their own homes. They’re killing black people in traffic stops. It’s mental. It’s tragic.

believe what you find out from your own research. I cannot tell someone else what is the absolute truth as i do not believe in such a thing. There are many truths and you honestly need to weigh (not both) all sides while understanding the agendas.

I will give you an example the riot started because of black people narrative. Lies, a "protest" started because a white police officer executed a black man in broadday light and was captured on video. The rioting started when a white man, not a protester/resident (many are "speculating" an undercover cop) incited violence by breaking windows to an autostore same pattern was seen when the police station was attacked. There is now plenty of evidence to suggest it is not the protesting residence actively doing the burning and inciting the looting.

This pattern can be seen across america. I am not saying the protesters are saints but why should they be. They are excercising their rights to protest if someone else is actively inciting rioting and violence why should they let that stop them excercising their right to protest

Shut up u mug, I was responding to a comment posted.

This crime is awful and those involved should be done for murder.

But in regards to burning your own community I just don’t get it.
