Especially when 90% of deaths are in the over 65's the lockdown seemed unnecessary.
Timmy you are an absolute wazzock. So my mum and dad are expendable to you? No wonder so many folk have filtered you
Whole thing is a complete shambles, going around in circles with it. The knock on effect it's having far outstrips the actual 'virus'
Thinking about that article on the flip side though.....the UK is a different ball game from Sweden though eh? It's basically the hub of Europe
Its a fallacy, they had a lock down but it was voluntary, people followed government advice voluntarily, the only difference with other countries that it was mandatory, non the less it is practically the same thing
And its the facking SUN only out to stir up the masses. People still dont get this

well maybe no silver but perhaps the busiest, busiest airport too.
Wouldn't wish harm on anyone but how long can we realistically live in fear and in fear of our jobs, livelihoods etc. for something that affects barely any of us? Happy to follow the safety measures but the constant doom and fear mongering is way off the scale now and just getting worse.

Government intent on keeping it like this for as long as they can by the looks of it. SOme light in the tunnel during summer months there but you look at that as them letting people stimulate the economy before putting us back in our cages.
65 year olds fought in world war 1 your being asked too stay at home too protect them we would be speaking german if it wasnt for them show some respect
No correlation between Ginger bringing this up, and now timmy taking up the cudgel?!

there 65 now not during the war
its very easy to question how long we should live in fear when you're not in a vulnerable category.
How long do we live like this for though? We should absolutely wear masks and be as clean as possible and protect the vulnerable, but this is going to be a thing forever now. They will decide when a vaccine is magiced up but it's still going to be a thing.
Hundreds of thousands have lost their jobs and even more will when furlough ends. It's a disaster. We can't go on forever with the government telling businesses at the drop of a hat to close. Not to mention the irreversible damage in a social context.

So UK fecked it up, as everyone knows.
Why not look at Norway or Finland who have remarkably low death rates? How is Sweden vindicated by having so many deaths? They’ve made a right mess of it. Unless of course a high amount of deaths is seen as a fair trade off for having the local pub stay open
Do bbc news do a rolling death count from the flu, from heart disease, from cancer every day? why not?

What i don't get is why are Sweden on the quarentine list when they have 11 cases per 100,000?
Well shy of the supposed freshhold of 20.
