Bruno has been decent since his arrival. Pogba hasn't. Bruno tries, Pogba doesn't. Bruno talks about winning at our club, Pogba talks of playing for others.

If we had just sat back and countered and got goals on the break against all the odds then we would have won, like we do in big games. Why did know one listen to me? Ole why did you not listen? NO ONE IS LISTENING TO ME

It depends on what kind of manager/coach you think we need.

With the hierarchical structures currently in place at the club whoever comes in to replace ole will most likely be doomed to the same fate

I don’t know why people treat it as blasphemy on this board for wanting Ole out.

Not true. Look what poch did for spurs with even less support from the board.

We have a good rotation system on Ole out. Every second weekend is Ole out, every other weekend is Ole in and midweek is Ole out at half time and Ole in at full time. There is no inbetween so don't go searching for it.

Bruno and Pogba have both been largely poor since the start of the season. I only ask that people keep the same energy for both players.

of course you need a manager who will change systems depending on the opposition... to suggest otherwise is moronic.

you wouldnt expect pep to set up the same way against liverpool as you would against someone like newcastle

With the likes of Pep, you don't often see players played out of position week in week out. Ther will be small tweeks here and there but ultimately he has a system and does not change dramatically week to week.

"The whole team seems to have regressed "

Change of tune every game we play from most fans. We're either the worst team in England or on the verge of greatness.

"Yesterday Ole said our tactics change depending on who we play against."

Most managers will tweak, and it makes sense for us to try and counter the likes of City and Liverpool. Our issue is obviously when we don't transition quickly and this isn't new for the club.

I understand why a lot of people are frustrated with Pogba but aside from his mistake yesterday he was not the worst player on the pitch.

Bruno was much worse than Pogba, giving away possession cheaply when he has time on the ball and under no pressure.

At least someone bothers to watch the game before spouting vitriol on here.

Bruno's been poor for most of the season; 10 games into the season and Martial has one goal to his name (from the penalty spot, and one red card), and Greenwood two (one a late goal vs Luton); and McTominay was far worse than Pogba yesterday, to the point where you wondered what competition he had won.

Yet, entirely predictably, if Pogba simply left the club we'd morph into PL/CL winners according to most on here.

We have tried every type of manager post fergie and they've all failed ultimately because of the incompetence of Ed and co.

Now if you want to go for a manager/coach whose won nothing but put together competitve squads on limited resources why go for poch when there are other similar candidates around Europe

Why not go for Poch though?

He knows the PL inside out
Has taken Spurs (yes, Spurs) to a CL final
Is available so no compensation to pay
Wanted to sign Bruno so already has a player he knows will work under his style

We might finally post-SAF have a manager who gets us playing a high press which we’ve wanted to see for so long.

Your observation is indeed correct.

The reason we don't transition quickly is because we don't have an identity or a philosophy that is being drilled into the players.

When we take it game by game, we have to rely on moments of individual brilliant or sheer luck when it comes to build up play.

People are still judging Bruno on his run of form after signing with us. As you mentioned, he's been largely poor since the restart after lockdown last season.

I like Bruno too but we are not getting the best out of him or Pogba and that comes down to coaching.

Stones in CM, De Bruyne in Fernandinho’s role, Fernandinho at RB and CB, Mahrez at number nine, Foden, errrrr, everywhere, etc. etc.

Guardiola is famous for it. He can’t help himself; he’s always ing about trying players in all kind of positions and trying to convert them to play different roles (Zinchenko, Sterling, Delph, Stones, Bernardo...).

posted on 2/11/20

This is why we haven't and won't progress under Ole. He constantly changes the team and formation for opponents, just moving from one game to another being reactive instead of proactive. Then you see top managers today are first implementing a style, which serves then in the long run to build from.

posted on 2/11/20

I said he does make tweaks, but I also said he has a style of football. That's why he can afford to move players around, because the philosophy of how the team plays is basically the same. but you know what I am not going to go back and forth with you on this, if you want to believe Ole has a system and he's comparable to peop you go right ahead.
