There was also a game last December when he bagged 3 against Mallorca. Funnily enough it was just after his sixth Ballon D'or and there was a presentation for him before the game. He had a great moment with the crowd as he held his sixth Ballon in the air! I consider myself lucky just to have seen that alone.
Early into the game and the Mallorca manager started arguing with Messi. It was like he really riled the Argentine and 90 minutes later he was walking off with the match ball!

Don't forget the goals he got against Chelsea in 2018 too. Yeah people seem to drool over Ronaldo because he scores so many (penalties) goals these days. But people are forgetting that Messi is a much, much better footballer than the greasy Portuguese. Goals aren't everything.

He is now, but at the time (i believe before the CL final against utd) he hadn't scored against a british side or something. People confused that for him struggling agaisnt them which was ridiculous.

You are correct mate. Never played in the league but his record against big English sides is better than Ronaldo's despite him playing in England for 6 seasons.

Fair enough. I would honestly say Ronaldo isn't in the top 3 footballers in the world anymore though. He does a hell of a lot of stat padding these days with his penalties and isn't half the player he was.
Ronaldos always stat padded, but I would say he more conserved energy, rather than stop being a good player. Hes second to messi for me, but I won't slag ronaldo off. He's been phenomenal.

I have watched Messi,and Christiano, many times over the years,both are great players and the top two ever in my opinion, but when Messi walks onto the pitch the whole stadium ,wherever it might be, is mesmerised and enchanted,( I know I know it's Christmas !)
I was in Madrid a few years ago when the Madrileños stood and applauded him off the pitch after he completely dominated a great RM team at that time. Neve to be forgotten.
