Liverpool looking at a fifth straight home defeat after setting a record for most unbeaten home games

As Greavsy said "It's a funny old game"
Jota wondering why he moved there
Campana moving permanently to Miami apparently
Leointhesunshinestate eh? Bit young for retirement isn't he?
Heard sky coverage and read newspaper articles about Portugal moving their upcoming internationals to be played in Italy. They were saying what a massive quarantine problem it would have been for Man City and Liverpool if that change hadn’t happened. And I thought there were other clubs with Portuguese players
Villa have confirmed that Grealish will not be fit to play against Wolves tomorrow
Ridiculous that an international break is even happening
Even more ridiculous having the WC in Qatar during November and December next year.
That looks a worse decision now with all the upheaval the last two seasons now. Didn't have a problem with it initially, would have just been one random season and Qatar will be a great host to the fans on the ground.
Wolves U23's lost 0-2 to a very strong Leeds side today which included two first team players. I really don't understand why the fringe youngsters of the first team don't get game time with the U23's. Leeds are romping at the top of the table, but we remain 3rd and still in with a chance of promotion via play offs.
We even had a trialist in goal instead of Sondergaard.
Yeah I don't understand why we don't give fringe players game time with the U23s either, though I guess that is a knock on effect of having a small squad.
We need to come out of the blocks and attack tomorrow. None of this crappy recycling the ball round and round and eventually back to Coady. Just get it up the park, get some bodies in the box and fire the fecker into the mixer. Sooner or later a Wolves player will get on the end of one and hey presto! we're 1 up.
Actually tomorrow is the perfect time to score first as Villa Park is the only Premier League ground where, this season, the team to score first has always won.
Better late than never I guess:-

Mad to me that accidental handball be considered an offence. Don’t even think scoring accidentally with a hand should be an offence. What should be an offence is intentional/deliberate handball
Do think var is the reason behind some of the stupid decisions we have seen. They wanted to make it black and white that if the ball hit the arm it was a foul regardless of intent. Another example of where referees making decisions, rather than var, would lead to the more sensible game we used to know
For me we should go back to the game being refereed by the referee with the aid of the linos. If the ref is unsure of a critical decision then he makes use of the available technology - a quick nip over to the pitch side monitor allow him to make the correct decision.
Stockly Park? Ram it! Unnecessary, unhelpful and spoiling the game for players and fans alike.
Well said Gem, my thoughts exactly.
Also proposals to change the offside rule again. Being suggested that if any part of a players body is onside then he is deemed onside

Seems like common sense to me. The minute they start drawing lines then it needs to just be given onside. Should be clear offside or not offside, none of this milimeter crap.

But then they would be analysing whether a fraction of a player's body wasn't onside if it was a close call. Same difference.
Being back the offside flag as soon as the player is offside, not wait awhile. I'm surprised we haven't seen any injuries due to the delay raising the flag.
i'm told that no other european country has the problem with var that we do,
i haven't watched german football recently but when it was introduced there it seemed to me that all judgments were made by the ref looking at a pitchside monitor - he had the say, not the equivalent of stockley park
as in life generally there's far too much reliance on computers - i'm selling my jag xf. i cant say what the mileage is because it's not displayed on the dash speedo where they have been for decades , its obviously lost in some computer sub menu somewhere.
computers are supposed to help, mostly as with var they confuse,
2 owners, excellent nick, £8950, mileage at last mot 78,000 if youre interested
