This Automatic for the People makes absolutely no sense!
In reality, the report will only be used as proof by people on either side of the spectrum. People on one side will use it as proof for just how ingrained institutional racism is in society, while people on the other will use it as proof that it doesn't exist so they can continue the way they want to be, because at least it isn't 'institutional'.
The reality is a middle ground, where racism exists, is probably institutionalised, along with a load of other -isms and -phobias, some of which get lost in the race (pun on purpose) to fix one or two before others. Including classism. But because both sides are so ingrained, none of them will get addressed, and society will continue to be all the worser for it.

In reality, the report will only be used as proof by people on either side of the spectrum. People on one side will use it as proof for just how ingrained institutional racism is in society, while people on the other will use it as proof that it doesn't exist so they can continue the way they want to be, because at least it isn't 'institutional'.
The reality is a middle ground, where racism exists, is probably institutionalised, along with a load of other -isms and -phobias, some of which get lost in the race (pun on purpose) to fix one or two before others. Including classism. But because both sides are so ingrained, none of them will get addressed, and society will continue to be all the worser for it.
