I think strictly speaking 'pubs' as we know them are still shut.

I always prefer drinking indoors.

I like the intimacy and the ethos.

Did you ever try Rumours in Blackpool?

Wickets man I miss that April - September.

Last year as a student 75 I had a labouring summer job there.

It had been a dilapidated villa absolute mess.

We had to enter the building on a plank thru the front windae.


I saw a dwarf's hair catching fire in there ten years later.

It's actually the same name as Dublin just across the watter.

Dubh is 'dark' & lin is 'pool' in Irish Gaelic ie the Black Pool.

To me & you - a safe deep water anchorage.
