Anyone not wishing to kneel for BLM is not necessarily a racist, in fact is more likely to think the gesture has become futile or become over politicised.
Refusing to take knee these days requires much more courage than those who pay lip service because they don't want to be noticed.
I'm all for wiping out all racism in any form. I am proactive in this in my daily life in my own personal actions.
Perhaps instead of taking the knee we should reach out to the person nearest us and say "I dig you/ I love you" for examples (personal choice).
Watching the pre match ritual and seeing one team kneeing, the other not, as is going to happen in the Euros, is going to offer a spectacle that's divisive and unhelpful, possibly injurious to the anti racism project.
I think Southgate is misguided in continuing the knee take during the Euros.
It will take time to completely remove all racism, most likely 1 or 2 generations down the road.
Only education can achieve the removal of our tribalistic DNA. As tribes that all our ancestors were members of to ensure to their survival against larger predators etc. It's hard to let go of that.
Losing our tribal DNA now must be our only course for survival. This includes religion as well as skin colour.
