Feels like pre seasons are pretty much a waste of time these days.

Also how the feck is Traore still not back and yet Coady is despite being in the tournament longer?

I think Traore will be sold during this window. He may even end up at a “bigger” club than Wolves, one that can afford the luxury of accommodating his explosive but frustrating talents.

Still think we need to bring in another centre back and a centre midfielder.

I think so too.

About 150 tickets left in the away end for the game at Stoke on Saturday so that will sell out.

The game at Coventry on Sunday is already sold out for away fans. That game at what used to be called the Ricoh Stadium, now the Coventry Building Society Arena, is the first game Coventry have played in Coventry for a couple of years following their ground share with Birmingham City the last two seasons. No doubt there will be a decent crowd there and the Sky Blues have already sold over 10,000 season tickets.

Ruben Neves has ruled out a move to Arsenal by saying he doesn’t think it would enhance his career to move to a club that hasn’t qualified for Europe. Have to wait and see if that is an indication he will stay with Wolves or whether if a team that was in Europe came for him, eg Man Utd, would he be on his way

Wolves played a behind closed doors training match against Al-Shabab tonight (Tues). Wolves won the game with goals from Chem Campbell and Raul Jimenez (pen).Alfred N'Diaye was playing for Al-Shabab

Liverpool will look to sign Wolves' Spain winger Adama Traore, 25, in a cut-price £30m deal. (Star)

I personally think that our season hinges on selling Traore. If we don't sell him then we would have to sell another star, perhaps Neves to have any chance of really strengthening the team. We could end up selling no stars of course, but that will leave us very light in the strengthening department.

Said it earlier, Traore would be a fantastic signing for a team that had the luxury of leaving him on the bench for the last 20 minutes. We don't, so must sell.

Traore did actually join the squad yesterday in Marbella, don't know if he played in the match or not, Coady did.

A front three of Traore, Jimenez and Neto would be one of the best front lines in the division to me and with Trincao and Fabio on the bench I don’t think we need to go shopping for any other forwards. Then sell Cutrone and Podence to get some cash towards a quality midfield player

Unbelievable how few goals we scored before Raul's injury, with one of the best front lines in the division?

posted on 28/7/21

Last season, in the first 10 games we scored 11 goals (Jimenez 4, Neto 3)
In all but one of those games Traore either started or came on as a sub for Podence.
In no other 10 game period that season did we score 11 goals.
So the stats tend to back up Spangles statement that a front 3 of Jimenez, Neto and Traore produces results.

We were 6th in the league at the end of November. Good enough for me, but unbelievably, not good enough for some

posted on 28/7/21

He didn't say they produced results though.

He said they were one of the best front lines in the division, which is frankly nonsense.

So one of the best front lines in the division average a goal a game between the 3 of them?

I'm more worried about the coming season than last.

Spain moved through to the 1/4 finals with a 1-1 draw against Argentina. Mir came on after 74 mins and almost scored with an audacious attempt from the halfway line.

Rafa Mir's current market value is around £10million. I think he is a bargain at that price.

He has all the attributes to be a top, top striker.

Nothing to worry about boston

We have one of the best front lines in the Premier League.

So WolfWolf give me a list of all the front lines you think are better than those 3. Guess that’s going to be quite a long list. You can miss out Man City and Liverpool to save you a little time

As for Rafa Mir I would like to have seen him spend pre season with Wolves but I suspect he has set his heart on moving to one of the big Spanish teams

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Well Spangles, it wouldn't need to be a "long" list to refute your claim would it? In a group of 20, I would say that only the top 2 or 3 would be classified as the best?

I don't think there is any argument that City, Liverpool, Man Utd, Chelsea and Spurs all have a better front line than Wolves. You could argue that Everton, Villa, Leeds, Leicester, West Ham and Arsenal all fall into the category as well, but there isn't any point as your claim is already proved nonsense.

Take off the gold tinted glasses mate FFS.
