It's a ball park guess on my end. He started the presidency at 55.5% approval rating back in February and today, he's at 48.6%. So -7% with change. On a relevant note, his spread today is at +0.4% compared to +19.5% back in February. I'm looking strictly at approval numbers, not disapproval numbers.
High 30% approval rating may be a stretch given we have 4 months of the year left. However, it just takes a snowball that is one bad decision to roll into an avalanche of problems once more people start asking questions. Can't rule it out.

Alright so 4 months left. Let's see what can happen. I think the biggest driver to Biden's approval rating is our inflation issue (very similar to how it was with Jimmy Carter). It is completely nuts and we are essentially one interest rate hike from a major correction. When the average Joes' wallets and retirement accounts start to weigh a lot less than before, they'll start paying attention. So far, we've masked this problem by saying no interest rate hike despite ongoing inflation and spending. The band-aid's gonna come off sooner or later. If Biden can avoid this, his approval rating will probably hold over 44% this year. If not, this s()it can go upside down fast. Come back in November.
To me, the foreign policy problems today and the border crisis are just extra fuel to expedite the ignition process. Also, have to factor whether Pelosi (not sure if she's retiring or not) and her crew are gonna turn on him this year because they got midterms next year. I think the Republicans are gonna take the house back. You can blame the big bad orange man or whoever else for as long as you want but that argument will continue to grow stale over time. #REEEEEEEEE
If I were uncle Joe, I'd go low profile and let this blow over. It worked for him earlier with the border issues.
Note:
-The yield rate scare in early Q2 messed with the approval ratings from anywhere to 2 to 4%. Seemed to recover from it after Yellen's constant reassurances that we won't jack up interest rates for the time being.
-The Afghanistan issue has dropped his approval rating down by 2% and counting.
-Too lazy to pinpoint the timeline of when the borders became a prime time issue. There may have a been an overlap too.
Biden has had 50%+ approval rating until this month. This could be a glitch. Let's see if he can beat the last guy's record low 4 year average. 41%.

As for inflation, that has been largely driven since the spring by three clearly identifiable factors in the US: used car prices, car insurance and flight costs (if I remember rightly). Supply chains, which have been battered, are starting in many industries to shift back towards normality, which will see demand much closer to being met. We may not be back to the Fed’s target by the end of the year but a) investors don’t seem at all concerned about what is happening right now, and b) all but your Conservative economists are making positive noises.
If it started at Inauguration, his approval rating dropped double digits in 8 months (60% to 48%). I liked that RCP started this a month later when he's actually making decisions for country. They do that for everyone.
The original question was "how did you get to 37% approval rating?" To answer that question, I'm going to speculate with the info I know so far.
So the bad decision stance stems from Biden's administration decisions over crucial issues so far. If I had to put $1k on him making decisions, I'm more inclined on betting the bearish move.
Honestly though, I'll be happy if he can lead us out of the current situation as that will ensure the safety of the innocents. But looking at the situation on hand, I'm not sure how he'll be able to get us out of this mess.
Those 3 may be factors and I'm starting to see the used car prices come back down. Will put a bookmark on that and see if anything changes. I'm speaking on this from a macroeconomic perspective where the Fed pumped trillions of dollar into circulation and incentivizing people not to work creating a supply and labor shortage. Two of them combined drops the value of the US dollar and made everything more expensive.
As a swing trader, when s()it companies like GME, WISH, etc. and tech company speculation/valuation are the way they are and I (or we) can all make money off it, no one really cares. The underlying part is bugging me.

So far, we've masked this problem by saying no interest rate hike despite ongoing inflation and spending. The band-aid's gonna come off sooner or later. If Biden can avoid this, his approval rating will probably hold over 44% this year. If not, this s()it can go upside down fast. Come back in November.
To me, the foreign policy problems today and the border crisis are just extra fuel to expedite the ignition process. Also, have to factor whether Pelosi (not sure if she's retiring or not) and her crew are gonna turn on him this year because they got midterms next year. I think the Republicans are gonna take the house back. You can blame the big bad orange man or whoever else for as long as you want but that argument will continue to grow stale over time. #REEEEEEEEE
If I were uncle Joe, I'd go low profile and let this blow over. It worked for him earlier with the border issues.
Note:
-The yield rate scare in early Q2 messed with the approval ratings from anywhere to 2 to 4%. Seemed to recover from it after Yellen's constant reassurances that we won't jack up interest rates for the time being.
-The Afghanistan issue has dropped his approval rating down by 2% and counting.
-Too lazy to pinpoint the timeline of when the borders became a prime time issue. There may have a been an overlap too.

Biden has had 50%+ approval rating until this month. This could be a glitch. Let's see if he can beat the last guy's record low 4 year average. 41%.

He didn’t start the Presidency at 55.5%. You’ve arbitrarily picked a higher approval point a month after his inauguration to start your extrapolation from.
Then you’ve speculated about ‘one bad decision which might snowball into an avalanche’.
“You can’t rule it out” doesn’t sound like a balance of probabilities argument. You could equally say he might make “one amazing decision that rebuilds all faith in his leadership and sees him regain ten points.” Unlikely, but “you can’t rule it out”.
As for inflation, that has been largely driven since the spring by three clearly identifiable factors in the US: used car prices, car insurance and flight costs (if I remember rightly). Supply chains, which have been battered, are starting in many industries to shift back towards normality, which will see demand much closer to being met. We may not be back to the Fed’s target by the end of the year but a) investors don’t seem at all concerned about what is happening right now, and b) all but your Conservative economists are making positive noises.

If it started at Inauguration, his approval rating dropped double digits in 8 months (60% to 48%). I liked that RCP started this a month later when he's actually making decisions for country. They do that for everyone.
The original question was "how did you get to 37% approval rating?" To answer that question, I'm going to speculate with the info I know so far.
So the bad decision stance stems from Biden's administration decisions over crucial issues so far. If I had to put $1k on him making decisions, I'm more inclined on betting the bearish move.
Honestly though, I'll be happy if he can lead us out of the current situation as that will ensure the safety of the innocents. But looking at the situation on hand, I'm not sure how he'll be able to get us out of this mess.
Those 3 may be factors and I'm starting to see the used car prices come back down. Will put a bookmark on that and see if anything changes. I'm speaking on this from a macroeconomic perspective where the Fed pumped trillions of dollar into circulation and incentivizing people not to work creating a supply and labor shortage. Two of them combined drops the value of the US dollar and made everything more expensive.
As a swing trader, when s()it companies like GME, WISH, etc. and tech company speculation/valuation are the way they are and I (or we) can all make money off it, no one really cares. The underlying part is bugging me.

Is this a joke? Trump is a chronic liar that dispensed lies for breakfast. I don't know how you could have possibly missed that fact. He only spoke his mind when he believed that it served him to do so. Whether he meant well depends on ones opinion on current affairs.
The world was not safer under Trump, most evidence points the other way, and the credit you choose to give Trump is astonishing. For instance, the denuclearisation deal with North Korea was blatantly scuppered by Trump's people. Like how did they think saying stuff like they'd be following the Libya model in North Korea would go down with the North Koreans?
You can work your way through your own lengthy post and what it needs IMO is a dose of reality after every full stop.
