IPL is a swear word to me... It's not cricket... Test cricket for me... I'd love to go to Lords it's an amazing ground.
. I've been to Headingley, in my time... I'll be at Wembley on Sunday.... 😊👌
I love Test Cricket, ODI and T20 but IPL is just boooo. I've been to Edgbaston before but that was years ago.
Wembley is a lovely stadium too. I've only been there once. Good luck to Huddersfield
Has anyone been watching the Tennis French Open at all?
Cheers Arsenal, not seen much of the French open.. Anyone but Djokovic... Been to the new Wembley twice, & the old Wembley twice,! 👏👏
My favourite sports are cricket, snooker, football, tennis and boxing.
Although not a big fan of tennis nowadays, especially clay. I prefer the faster courts like grass and indoor.
I sense that you're a decent Snooker player JustTrue
Mine are.. Football, Snooker ( obviously), cricket, darts... Tennis at Wimbledon... & the other grand slams
Snooker, Football and Cricket are my main 3 Sports. I like Tennis as well but my knowledge on it is very mediocre and I only really watch the Grand slams.
Arsenal, I was a decent player until the early 2000s, but stopped playing.
Still play pool now and then, I can pot well, but positional play is very hit and miss
I also watch darts occasionally, big fan of Van Gerwen
JustTrue what's your highest break in Snooker? I usually play at least once a week or every other week. I don't feel like I'm ever going to make a 50+ break unless I get abit of coaching and I could play more often.
None of my family or friends particularly like snooker, I've never really had a proper conversation with anyone about snooker, apart from on here, occasionally I might mention snooker, & someone might try a conversation, but unless you are like us lot their knowledge is very basic & it never goes too far 😂
I think my highest break on the 6ft table got to about 51 but that was a clearance with all the colours.
On the 12 ft, I didn’t play much, it was only 35 and that again was a clearance.
I can speak to my elder brother about snooker, we used to play on the 6ft table a lot when we were younger. We had a best of 35 match once when I was 16. He won 18-15.
My highest break is 30 on a full-size table but that was like in 2014. I don't think there's much of a difference between my game now and then lol.
The close friends I play Snooker with only watch it a little bit. They probably wouldn't even remember who won the World championship last year lol
Lol exactly.. I can tell you who won it every year since the 70's 🤣
Haven't played on a full size table in years, but given the chance I'd play all day.. I got a 6 footer when I was a kid, loved it...
I was watching the 2001 Masters final earlier between Fergal O'brien & Paul Hunter... The first of Paul's 3 10-9 wins... Introduced by Dougie Donnelly
Would be good if you could try and play snooker.
Yea, but like I say, don't really know many people who play
Last time I played was at the British Legion with my mate in my small hometown a couple years ago. First time we had played there. Played for 30 minutes before some group of 80 somethings kicked us off because we didn't know their silly booking system.
I have only played on a full sized table a handful of times.
Imagine if there was an all time snooker world cup, you are all allowed to choose 3 players and 1 reserve.
Here are the teams:
England
Scotland
Wales
All Ireland
Canada
Australia
China
Rest of the World
Who would you choose for each team, remember just 3 main players and 1 reserve:
Here’s my teams:
England: Ronnie, Steve Davis, Selby
Reserve: Judd Trump
Scotland: Hendry, John Higgins, Maguire
Reserve: McManus
Wales: Williams, Reardon, Griffiths
Reserves: Matthew Stevens
All Ireland

Reserve: Warren King
China
