In order to do that they will obviously questioned Harriet. Then they will have looked at time date/time stamps of the recordings and Greenwood's mobile phone movements. Then there will possibly be CCTV footage corroborate his movements and I'd imagine a security tracker in his vehicle. They will also obviously ask Greenwood himself if it is him in the recording. I doubt they will have had much trouble establishing his movements and that he was indeed with Harriet at the time of the recording. Then there is also the opinion on language experts.

The fact that the investigation is still ongoing would suggest to me that they are very much sure that it was him in the recording. As does the fact that he was further arrested.

If Harriet backs it up its possible. But I think that ship has sailed. And even if she does, I think his united career could still well be over.

I can’t help but think our season might have gone a bit better if not for Greenwood had not have been a naughty boy.
