Bairstow achieves this Extremely unlikely Stokes will as he would have to score 58 of the 75 runs required but as long as these two stay till the end it will be a famous win.

Just keep this going without doing anything too ridiculous, as if we have not already gone past that.

Has any team ever scored 500+ in the 1st innings of a test and lost the match? I remember in 2003 South Africa scored around 460 against England in the 1st innings and England ended up winning it.
