Utter nonsense?

Well, my view is based on the fact that Liverpool fans never respect the national anthem and openly brag about rejecting the monarchy.

It’s hardly a leap to suggest that a minority of fans in the ground may not respect a minutes silence for the queen or indeed chant something inappropriate during the game.

You call it nonsense based on what, exactly? Hurt feelings?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes it’s nonsense as you just proved in this reply Winnie.

You started off with “ inevitable poor behaviour of Liverpool fans during the minute silence.”

When told that it would have been respected and that you couldn’t back up your point you then pivoted to : “ Liverpool fans never respect the national anthem”

You’re conflating the minutes silence with the national anthem which effectively bootlicking of a privileged person placed as head of state through the accident of birth.

But you know what you were doing, trying to have a go at liverpool fans.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

It’s funny… you’re someone who doesn’t go to games, isn’t from Liverpool and basically just supports them by ranting at people on a forum, yet you speak with such authority on how the Liverpool fans would behave in this situation.

Get real.

All the evidence points to their being problems with a minutes silence at Anfield for the Royal Family.

Your tears because you can’t handle any negative comment about anything associated with Liverpool FC won’t change that.

Grow up.

Winnie the poor wum.

What evidence are you leaning on for, “All the evidence points to their being problems with a minutes silence at Anfield for the Royal Family.”

Should be simple enough for you to state, you’ve used the word ‘all’ so you should have at least two pieces of evidence.

posted on 12/9/22

I’d also like to see your evidence you base the view I don’t go to games on.

My bank account sure says different.

The only thing you got correct in that whole piece is that I’m not from Liverpool.
Everything else you’re dead wrong on.

Oh that’s right, anything you don’t like just call it a wum… grow up mate.

The evidence tells us that Liverpool fans proudly state ‘scouse not english’, they criticise the monarchy, they boo the national anthem’.

It’s a pretty logical conclusion that some of them wouldn’t respect a minutes silence for the queen.

You’re only arguing against it because any hint of criticism to anything associated with Liverpool turns you into a crying mess.

glad they cancelled the football at the weekend, wouldn't want anyone who isn't pretending to be @rsed to have fun now would we.

it's all a show, the only people truly affected by this are her family and those creepy bast@rds who camp outside the palace when a royal baby is coming.

if you want to mourn then so be it, but don't force it on others.

Do you have any evidence of Liverpool fans booing the minute silence of a member of the royal family? That might be more helpful as an indicator than what you’re referenced.

I'm not sure what the fuss is here.
I think that pointing to them booing the National Anthem and using it to suggest that it's likely they would boo during a minute's silence, is pretty reasonable.
I'm pretty sure that Celtic fans would do the same.

I have no problem with any of it. I'd expect Celtic and Liverpool fans to boo it and good luck to them.

what i've seen the past few days

people being arrested for protesting against the monarchy.

a continued assault on the character of meghan markle which far exceeds any assault on the character of a paedophile who continues to be a "prince".

people in scotland trying to out grieve each other in a pathetic act of false patriotism because they think it makes them look more rangersy.

And celtic and liverpool copping the blame of fixtures getting cancelled, which isn't the case but it's easy for bootlickers to point to us and whine.

if people feel the need to grieve then thats understandable and i respect that, but don't fake it and don't try and enforce it onto others.

This may come as a massive shock to you but there are significant sections of our population at home and abroad who despise the monarch and all they represent, who will “rejoice” at every day that passes that brings their dynasty to an end.

I’m not one as such as I admired the Queen for her stoicism and devotion to what she saw as her duty. Would I prefer a presidency to a monarch? I genuinely don’t know but I suppose not as I think it represents part of our history.

But to suggest it is just disrespectful to see part of that end is just nonsense. She was undoubtedly a wonderful woman but she was given that privilege to be so as a right from birth and nothing else.

Minutes silence wouldn’t be disrespected.

There’s zero evidence that anyone saying such can point to, they’re just using the booing of the national anthem (which is hardly a minutes silence is it?) as some kind of previous.

A minutes silence and GSTK are two completely separate things.

It’s not just the national anthem though, is it?

That’s just not true.

wouldn't be shocked to see a tifo at celtic park first chance they get.

it's the other end of absurd, while i think rangers fans are acting like they are more devestated than they so they can bawsuck our southern neighbours, i also think we go to the extreme and push anti-monarchy agendas on everyone else.

i don't care, wish we can just as a country say "queen died, thats a shame, hope her family is ok" wee minutes silence, right back to it."
