Can we get a graph showing the correlation between European success and true Englishness?
Interesting to see that the two titans in the top three, are United and Barcelona.
Two teams in the Europa League, which seemingly is now the place to be in European competition. Not the sub-par UCL. This season anyway

Barry back with his great articles
Liverpool the strongest team in that table, as they're holding up all the rest

I chuckled at that as well.
There's a small gap in the logic of this article, in that if you want to be considered champions of Europe, you must first have won your league the previous season OR be the reigning European champions, because in the latter case having become the champions of Europe the previous season even trumps winning the domestic league.
The above ought to increase the number of times Madrid have been true European champions, and if it doesn't then it's a nonsense argument.
It's pretty meaningless anyway.
Everyone knows the CL is a shadow of what it was in its glory years of 1998-1999 and 2007-2008.

Disagree. It’s the best article I’ve seen since Pidier’s masterpieces.

Yes, it might make a nice appendix to a possible Collected Works of Pidier Pogba. A kind of glimpse into the historical context of Pidier's literary output.
Five stars from me. Spurs will join the list next season.

First time seeing a Barry article? Have you been living under a rock for a decade?
As usual top work, I am a little disappointed in the lack of a graph or other chart to describe the table data provided.
In short - pictures for the dumbos back here please.
