No, one of the onfield team says give it, var then assume that means give the goal rather than the offside.

Apparently whoever wins the PL this year if it’s not Liverpool with have an asterisk

It’s a matter of time before algorithms make decisions not humans, you can’t trust humans because, well they are human.

Yep. Putting aside it should have been in place in the first place, all they need to do is to implement the same as rugby and have the on field ref always clarify the on field decision before they look at it.

It’s one of those where as shambolic as it is, I’m actually glad it’s that reason. Would be a lot more worrying if it was the technology being inherently wrong.

Absolutely, there is clearly no process on how to communicate the decision. The thing is virtually every process going has a faaack up behind it. Part of my job is to design processes in finance, 90% of them are to stop a faaack up that has happened from happening again. But this is top level football so there is far less sympathy for a genuine faaack up
