Gerrard as unlikely as he would be to get it anyway signed a new deal this week to further scupper any remote chance he had

I’ve always been cynical about our frugal approach but the first Rodgers stint and then the time of Postecoglou period combined with Lawwell leaving gave me renewed hope.
All to be dashed against the rocks of gloom yet again.
Sure it’s a great financial model that has saved us in the past, but now it’s fwcking pathetic and a downright slap in the face to us, the paying customer. Even as a plc we are in the throes of being led by a board full of incompetence and a damaging approach to risk management.
It’s so obvious in my world and nothing but a complete overhaul with new blood will ever change it. My fear is it will get worse before something dramatic happens and a change is forced which is never a great strategy.
people can say what they like, Peter Lawwell is a brick wall to our transfer activity.
i've said it before and never meant it until recently, it genuinely wouldn't shock me if we delayed till end of the window to save on a few weeks wages.

Gerrard will likely have a clause that gets him out if Liverpool call?
Ange is a City Group guy and will likely wait on Pep?
Alonso probably too soon but then again there's not a list of outstanding candidates any more so who knows and his team is playing the 'right' way.

Yep, Lawwell’s basically the Scottish Levy … although at least wee Daniel has the best footie stadium on the planet to show for his grippiness.
The ridiculous thing is I don’t think we actually need to be spending that much more transfer money overall … just spending about 2-3 times as much per player on average, but on half as many signings. Better chance of quality, and avoids the current bloated squad which blocks any pathway to the first team squad for the odd promising youngster. Win win scenario for me, and been saying the same for years.
Having had so much success with Klopps ‘heavy metal’ football, Liverpool will surely be monitoring Phillipe Clemente’s ‘Grunge’ ?
I wonder if Klopp is headed to Real Madrid then or if Bayern are ready to ditch their manager

Rangers have reached an agreement with Fluminense to sign 2003 born Brazilian left back Jefté.
Deal in place, waiting for APOEL to give the green light as he's on loan in Cyprus.
Jefté also agreed on terms with Rangers, contract valid until June 2027.

Meanwhile, Brendan has finished decorating two more rooms in his mansion. And Peter has made Celtic another £23,000 in interest just this week alone.
