But the Tories top priority this week was to call for another national inquiry, costing the tax payer millions again, into something already investigated, the recommendations of which they they chose to ignore.
————
There’s also Harmon and Burnham calling for an inquiry, but you’ll conveniently ignore that, just like you’re ignoring your 20:1 claim somewhere around 1948 you pu$$y!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah because you listen to them two and not Robert Jenrick & Kemi Badenoch you disingenuous Tory cuck.

A bit embarrassing that even Farage has appeared moderate compared to your Tory heroes
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So are you dismissing Burnham and Harmon then?

Good to see you’re still overlooking your 1948ish 20:1 ratio, I tell you what TrannyLad how about I give you 20yrs either side, surely you can find the data in that time frame!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
"He said he was "frustrated" that Westminster politicians had "taken no interest" in the issue when those reports were published." - Andy Burnham

Not like you to be disingenuous and Harman can get to after her links to P.I.E.

Taking economic lessons from those that repeatedly voted for the absolute worst of us is not something I'm prepared to do.
————
The UK had the fastest growing GDP in the first half of last year, then looked what happened in the 2nd half of the year!
This year’s outlook doesn’t look any better!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Conveniently ignoring the other 13.5 years.

You two idiots, Red and Dev, don't find it disgusting using abuse victims as gaslighting fodder for racists and bigots. As with previous disingenuous arguments about farmers, pensioners and the state of the economy, neither yourselves, or the Tory idiots you parrot, gave a shiite about any of it when in charge or at the voting booth.

It's very predictable and boring
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Didn’t you use pensioners deaths from COVID claiming the Tories ‘killed’ them!

it is hilarious how misleading "fastest growing" is.
It's akin to celebrating your dodgy cryto stock rising rapidly after it has previously spectacularly fallen. You're still way way down.

All that said we need to move on from a growth based model, it's coming towards end of usefulness and taking the planet with it.

Unlike you though red old bean, I know the economy was utterly trashed by your heroes and it won't turn around overnight, thats your right wing legacy.
At least Reeves hasnt (yet) told the country to "hold your nerve" like Sunak did.
Taking economic lessons from those that repeatedly voted for the absolute worst of us is not something I'm prepared to do.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
To be fair the signs aren't particularly positive, I absolutely loathe the Tories and believe anyone who voted for them during my life time is at best an ignoring caaaant... All that said this version of Labour campaigned on being pretty very much status quo (prior to the Tories going full reeeeetard), we were told it was just a ploy to get victory but I'm not seeing much in the way of radical thinking that's needed, more continuation of a failed approach. It is preferable to a full Liz Truss of course but I'm just not seeing this Labour as anything close to what the country needs.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think it's a longer term project, the infrastructure plans and whatnot, stuff that we've needed doing for years and years and the jobs they will, eventually/hopefully bring.
I do think there is a lot of short-termism panic, not just in the UK but Europe generally which isn't helping.
That said, like the football fans we are, we want results and we're not prepared to wait.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Shortermism or not,Labour have set their targets and in neglecting the economy in the short term they have made their long term plans even harder.

Their whoever plan is based on growth and that is absolutely great because growth more more prosperity for all of us, more revenues raised to improve public services and infrastructure...get all the things done that desperately need doing.

But they haven't done anything to promote growth and now we are seeing taxes on business causing no growth, it will limit wage growth, it will increase costs, it will put jobs and businesses at risk, the measures are inflationary which makes everything more expensive for everyone. So deepening a cost of living issue. And what do people do in these circumstances? They tighten the belt so we can expect less spending, so less growth, less investment by business so less new opportunities.

I agree this country has issues at a structural level that need long term strategic planning to address. But so far that has been their only plan, their only action....and in the mean time they are making it worse for everyone and much harder for themselves to succeed.

This is self inflicted pain, an unexpected and very much unwanted consequence of a budget which slammed the brakes on growth.

Ah bless. Blinkered, simpleFannie, breaking out his favourite new words again.

Gaslighting. False equivalence. Disingenuous.

This is a guy who thinks my views on farmers are disingenuous, when i know farmers, ive had clients who are farmers or in the industry and i grew up in Devon. I know how to drive a tractor ffs!!....This clown does a quick google, posts a view links supporting his 2 minute old knowledge and calls me disingenuous Couldnt make it up. Dimlad probably never even stepped foot on a farm let alone have a conversation with a farmer. It's a way of life he has zero idea about. Would be like me trying to claim i know what its like growing up in deprived inner city area becasue I watched the Krays.

Across all these pages simplefannie has deflected constantly. You could summarise his take on the Labour policies as "the Tories were worse". Inflationary impacts of the budget...not at all....thats all down to greedy businesses.

So now we have a situation where the markets are rejecting their strategy. As we slip into borrowing crisis of their making, growth becomes even harder, achieving their goals becomes even harder and austerity moves closer. It is going to be a massive loss of face come March when the OBR comment on where the Govt are in meeting the targets they set which based on their policy making. It will be on them and Captain Deflector will have nowhere to hide.

Dont get me wrong. I don't want them to fail. I want this country and economy to flourish. I want to be paid more. I want mortgages rates to drop, i want inflation under control and I am not so blinkered as to hope for 5 years of failed Labour, to score a point. Really i dont care who's in control. But widely held fears of a Labour Govt and their ability to run the economy have not been dispersed by their actions so far. As the impact of their policies hit, the time to blame it all on the Tories will pass.

Why are you crying about people making assumptions about you and where you live when you've had plenty to say on both about me in previous posts? Try and validate yourself all you want lad, you mistake me for someone who gives a shiite.

What I do know about you is you think Devon is overrun with immigrants and you can see the merits in the Truss budget. You don't come across as the brightest business mind in Devon.

I assume you're a long time campaigner for fair prices from wholesalers and supermarkets for farm produce. Or you campaigned against Brexit knowing the harm it would bring to the farming industry?

Newsagents podcast is a good listen in the state of the economy for anyone that's actually serious about it.

Yourself and Red will probably continue howling Tory three word slogans and the latest issue of the week into the wind though.

more waffling nonsense.

I'm not validating myself, I'm countering your claims that my views are disingenuous. Stop and think about it for a bit. You know nothing a out rural living and farming. No life or professional experience. What you know you googled...and you call me disingenuous. Can you see how ridiculous that is.

Pointing out Tory hypocrisy in how they're suddenly concerned for pensioners, re:WFP, but were not so concerned when releasing pensioners into social care unprotected isn't 'using them in an argument'. It's, sadly, just fact.

Pointing out this fact to a disingenuous idiot intent on ignoring the actions and consequences of the last 14 years, also not 'using them in an argument'

Hope this helps

The Tories botched handing of Covid did lead to well over 100,000 avoidable deaths and many thousands more have been left with long term illness.

The opportunity was there to shut down early, close borders and make the UK a safe island until mass vaccination became doable. The Tories didn't just not try to control, they allowed massive events to happen during the early days then had that "eat out to spread it about" nonsense too.

Blood is very much on their greasy hands.
