Nice! She sounds like a good cook. When you can do day to day cooking and make it healthy and tasty that's an achievement

did intervals on the treadmill this morning

1 min walking at 6km/hr
1 min running at 13km/hr

did that for 20 mins

Good effort 👍

I guess from there you either push the 6 up to an 8, or change the durations from 60/60 to 65/55? Or maybe stay the same and stretch it out to 25 minutes, but personally I'd keep it to 20 minutes for now. Maybe even less than that if you're building up the average speed.

For the first year or so, I physically cried every time I started running Just got tears pouring out of my eyes about 200m in.

yes, i'm going to up the walking pace to 7km/hr and shorten the walking intervals to 30s, and lengthen the running intervals to 90s

I'll try that and see how I get on

Would suggest 75/45first sann, but obvs how you feel.

Look forward to the updates.

you'd be surprised how quickly 30 seconds can go when you're trying to suck in air and get your legs back

those kinda runs go so much quicker than just running at a middle pace for 20 mins too

On a small ferry. Its a bit like a quite large fishing trawler, but with nice benches etc along both sides for the passengers. I guess about 15m.

The captain's wheel's about 2m in from the back of the boat.

When people get on, the front is tied to the mooring, so basically as you walk down the little jetty alongside the boat, the front end is the back of the boat.

Will finish this in a bit.

oh, that story.

errrr.

it's not really worth telling tbh.

basically this english family get on. 2 young daughter, mum, dad, mum's dad.

it makes me laugh tbf

they go and sit at the bow/front of the boat. then dad says, let's go and sit at the front. so they all get up and go and sit at the back.

grandad says he thinks this is the back. he and dad then start arguing about whether they're now at the back of the boat or the front of the boat. after a few back and forths, grandad says "well he's not going to stand facing backwards with the wheel behind him is he?" (there's a plinth immediately in front of the wheel, so it's obvious the captain won't be standing there).

At this point I think Dad realises he's fkuced up, and that they are now at the back of the boat (where the view won't be as good).

After a couple of seconds of silence dad snaps something back (you can hear him trying supress the rage at being contradicted in front of his kids).

Grandad says "all I said was that this is the front"

Again you can hear/feel dad raging in silence before he says through gritted teeth "and all I SAID was, let's go and sit down there".

"Fine" grandad says, as mum gets up saying (without labelling it the front or the back) "maybe we should sit down at that end instead", before realising there's no longer enough room down there.

Cue about 10 minutes complete silence as they all ignore each other.

From now on, I'll only add any running updates.

There's no-one on here these days who's worth interacting with.

Husband: You are negative.
Wife: And you are a stubborn low life who cares about no-one but himself. You are a fat, ugly, self centred, insensitive, god-for-nothing. You are lousy in bed. Even your hair transplant was a failure!
Husband: I was just informing you that your COVID Test was negative!
Wife: Oh………sorry!
