Yeah I think those stripes look crap

Had a weird trip to the barbers.

Barber's got his son working there. Think he's training him up. Lad of about 10 or 11 I'd guess.
It was a bit disconcerting as a lot of the time he's standing right next to me staring at me.
I tend to nod off when I'm having my haircut though, so just shut my eyes and forgot about him.
Next thing I know, I feel my robe thing moving on my lap.
Open my eyes and the boy's adjusting the robe.

I wonder what the hell's going on. Then I realise I'd got it bunched up, and he was trying to release it down so that the hair would fall on the floor, so I helped him out and adjusted it so it was in the right position.
Anyway, I digress...

This lad's got a massive scab on his elbow.
It gets me thinking.
I'd actually forgotten scabs exist. I've not had one for years and years so far as I remember.
And I start wondering whether adults get scabs. I genuinely can't work this out, and my phone's with the screen repair people so I can't look it up.
I then remember that I used to eat my scabs. I can remember peeling them off. Hoping that it won't reopen the cut, but unable to resit the urge to pick it off and eat anyway. Don't think I've ever told anyone about this before.

I've somehow convinced myself that adults don't get scabs.

And I genuinely start wondering whether if I ever finally have a child, I'd be able to eat the child's scabs

thankfully that thought didn't last long, and instead I start wondering that if adults do get scabs, whether there would be an easy way to cut myself so that I could get one.
I think at that point I got called up for my cut.
(I'd already clocked the lad's scab whilst I was waiting).
Anyway...

forget that story.
i got my phone screen repaired.
went back to collect it and they'd glued over the camera so i asked them to redo it. they said come back in an hour.
i forgot to turn the phone off. went back a couple of minutes later, and they said the repair guy had already collected the phone. i asked them to tell him to turn it off, and they said they would.
went back an hour later and collected it.
camera looked fine. i paid and went home.
don't remember using the phone since.
just gone to use it.
there's no data, no signal. the phone seems to be set to 2022. all my photographs are gone except for a about 10 selfies in the bath and staring at the camera.
what the hell?

I have no pending transactions.

it seems from what i can gather that they took the battery out when repairing the screen, and this reset the clock to years ago.
part of the result of this was that all the photos dissapeared.
i have now connected the phone using wifi, and the time and date has restored to current, and all the photos have reappeeared.
there's still not sign of any signal or ability to connected without wifi. will take the phone back to the repair shop in the morning and see if they can shed any light on the matter.
panicking much less than i was 20 minutes ago.

looks like they broke the antenna, which means the phone's a write off from the looks of it.
still, i saved a tenner on the screen repair.
