I know he’s limited but I think we could do with his profile in the squad

Although I do remember saying similar about Højbjerg before he joined and absolutely hated him playing for us

I don't think so, no. Unless we are going 'full Jose' I don't think that ever really works. Plus if we cared enough about playing like that we could just do Bissouma/Sarr/Bentancur like we did in the final.

I don't think so, no. Unless we are going 'full Jose' I don't think that ever really works. Plus if we cared enough about playing like that we could just do Bissouma/Sarr/Bentancur like we did in the final.

I don’t think any of those are defensively good tbh.

Big games the below would work well

Palhinha Bentancur
Madders

Sarr is our best player

only one who can score goals in the team

I don’t disagree that would work well, but for the squad building and financial outlay it’s not worth the marginal gains.

I know it was a friendly but today showed how I believe we will cope in a lot of games against the better teams under Frank. Paulinha (to put a hypothetical on it) makes us maybe only 5% better than our midfield today would be in that scenario - yet he would cost a fair bit, demand regular game time and take up another squad spot in a massively bloated squad.

If we sold Bissouma and Bentancur then yeh fine, otherwise not a chance.

Controversial and something that wouldn’t happen but I’d be loaning out Gray to get a full season playing in the premier league.

probably is controversial cause thats my view

cant see many minutes for him if a team in the league will give him CM minutes this season its a no brainer

Even as a loan it would still take up some financial expenditure (but admittedly considerably less).

I just think we have one massively glaring weakness - midfield creativity - which needs to be addressed & Paulinha is solving something that I think we are able to cover in our current 11.

Also in your hypothetical trio its just as likely that Madders is out for half those big games anyway which negates the Paulinha need further

It was really good, although I’m less keen on some of his choices found it really interesting.

spose Gray would come in handy in another injury crisis and could play as a defensive full back or CB lol

If Gray stays at us and doesn’t get loaned out does he get a chance at club trained status?

no idea how those things work, thought Udogie and Sarr both had a chance of that tbh but obvs not

Sarr was cos of so many loans, I think it has to be 3 years by 21 - but Hengy knows that stuff way better than me

Ali gold was harsh on Odobert - I saw otherwise people thought he played good. What did yall think?
