Top 5 strikers in PL history probably looks something like this right now:
1. Henry
2a&2b. Kane & Shearer
3. Rooney
4. Haaland
Andy Cole I find a tough one to rate

My memory of Shearer though is that he was quite effective as a player right up til he retired

The best thing Henry did for his reputation was taper off at Barca and not in the PL. He was even able to come back briefly with lower expectations
Rooney is the main example i think of how falling off hard in the PL damages how you are viewed after

Yes, and Bale/Ronaldo on the other end of leaving after their incredible season or 2 and getting overrated (as PL players) as a result

RVN?

oh Aguero is 5
honestly i prefer him to Haaland

Think Haaland is just so prolific its tough to leave him off, even if I think he has the worst all-round game out of everyone.

Probably something like:
5. Aguero
6. RVN
7. A Cole
8. Wright
9. Teddy?
10. Fowler?
Bit tricky

Think you can take a few things into account (Haaland not high on goal list but already top 5 all time I reckon)

To make the argument for Drogba (which i would want to) id need to include continental and cup feats. He wasnt very consistent as a league striker, but he had two golden boots

JFH had two golden boots as well

Suraez wasnt in the league long enough i think for this argument

All time European comp striker for sure though

Think Suarez has a case for greatest ever La Liga striker

Reflective of how football has become, I'd have the best strikers and attackers of all time closer to recent - yet CB's and keepers from a bit further back.

I have too much of a soft spot for Benzema in that argument
