Said last night I really hope we get Shlupp on a 2 year contract as he's capable of covering for Tierney and McGregor
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I’m not convinced he’s cheap enough cover for KT but I’d be very happy to be wrong.
Schlupp had the confidence to show his winger the outside. GT would have been all over the place. He'll be regretting not biting the hand for £15kpw once he's at Bucharest, Belgrade or wherever.
Anyway, where’s all the financial experts to discuss Rangers’ new shares issue?

Club Brugge looked like one of the easiest draws in the competition but they turned out the be one of the better CL teams this season.
==========
brugge have had some really good results in europe recently, they were no mugs and its wild that anyone thought we would take points off them easily.
annoying that a stupid own goal cost us in that game but they are a tough team to play.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah Brugge were excellent at celtic park , certainly seen the difference you get between the CL run of the mill teams to the other competitions .
Big step up
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Said before, saw them at the san siro when they played Milan and they were the better team until they had a guy sent off. Even then, they still looked dangerous until they tired.

I suspect it’s a debt to equity transaction.
See, your conglomerates team up in the cartels.
It's monopolies and mergers commissions, and they corner the market for the consortiums.
Then it's something about a loss leader.

That’s their nominal value. Last couple of share allotments have been for about 20 or 25 pence each. The actual value is what they trade for on the open market, and last I saw folk were struggling to sell them for less than that. Think they are now over 500 million shares in circulation, but it’s not the number of shares that’s the bigger issue, it’s the trading price that’s a better reflection.

Think it’s most likely a debt to equity conversion-someone taking shares to pay off a loan. It’s a guess until it’s reported in their accounts or they say why it’s been done. Could be cash to see through until season ticket renewal, but I’d go with someone getting shares for a loan they’ve made.

I said it before but Rodgers finally seems to have gained some European nous this season and if you were in the Europa you would be able to seriously look at going deep in it. In the CL this season you got a pretty easy route through to the play off it would be a miracle if that's as kind to you next season. As much the format has worked for you this season, 3rd and dropping down into the Europa format being gone just when you're fit for it is a bit of a kicker.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think that is it plus having the players capable of stepping up. He spoke at the end of the game about the difference is making a sub. I thought out midfield were excellent last night but note that McCowan wasn't brought on - perhaps telling of his role in the league v europe. Bernardo if fit would have come on i expect.
Yang coming on did drop our intensity. That's not a criticism of Yang per se just that he isn't the level of sub we need to have to keep that up against Bayern.
Our naivety v Dortmund is gone. We hunted in packs and even when getting pressed we remained calm and made the right passes.
If we get there next year we most likely won't get as favourable a draw but then again we got euro finalists and a rich Villa team. I expect rather than hope now that we maintain that into next season and shouldn't be looking at ourselves as the bottom of the pile but rather a 17-24th place team looking to compete at the next step up
A large part of that is down to Rodgers.
Heed - just a wee note

I really dont see how our draw could be considered easy.
All the teams in the champions league are at a decent level.
Its really just about getting teams you would rather play as opposed to others.
It is a seeded draw so you will get some decent teams and some teams you expect to beat home and away.
PLus look what we ended up with. Real madrid or bayern. 2nd best team or the 3rd best team in the world.
Guilty confession.
