Madders is either brilliant, injured or goes missing.
Maddison for me is a luxury player... good to have against poorer teams, but almost a waste of a jersey against better teams
I prefer Maddison in that 10 role. He has the ability to make the game tick from there, when he's on it he is bright, sharp, moves the ball quickly, sees a pass and I like those box runs like he scored from last night.
He can go missing but for me that is as much a team thing as a Madders thing. He is pretty good at finding space in the hole but not many are good at finding him.
Bents, Bergs & Madders gives a really nice balance IMO.
Deki looks rusty after a couple months injured and before then he looked very jaded having played very well but constantly through our injury crisis.
I have no issue if Madders rarely lasts a game if we have quality to replace him with. I do think this is an issue that is made too much of, largely because Ange often subs him late on, almost as habit. It doesnt always seem necessary

Yes, lately but when Madders was hooked every 60 mins there was a period when Kulu played every minute for about 3 months straight.
There are bigger expectations on Madders right now. At least with Kulu he can play 3 positions. LW, AM and CF if needed. I'm confident he will become a better player over time.
Maddison is a luxury player. But I don't say this as an insult. Glenn Hoddle was a luxury player.
Modern football is a squad game and so as long as Maddison is used right he is an extremely valuable member of our squad.
On his day he is phenomenal and he won trophies with Leicester, FA Cup as well as PL title I think.

Agreed. Madders is a top player. Has so much quality on the ball. Doesn't have his work rate but closest player we've had to Eriksen since he left.

Agreed and it's not even a question of Richy over Kulu. What a weird take.
Dunno if its his attitude, Ange's management/ Tactics but we haven't seen anything like the player at Leicester. He's super talented but like a lot of our players we need to see it on a more consistent basis at a higher level than last night in the PL if we are gonna improve..... Same goes for BJ, Son, Dom, Richie, Biss, Sarr, Udogie, Vic, Porro, Richie & Kulu
Thought everyone played well last..... 2nd leg will be interesting on a tricky pitch with a couple of their better players back. That Bodo goal pi55ed me off massively..... an early goal for them in the 2nd leg and all bets are off.
Winning this thing would be great (Not sure we will beat United) but if we do, will we build upon it or will Spurs do what they usually do.... Rest on their laurels, with the heat off mgmnt & ownership while others overtake us on the pitch.
Will be interesting to see. It's an odd time to be a Spurs fan..... 2 games will define whether this is a historic or historically bad season.... Smacks of inconsistency and a lack of joined up thinking at the club from top to bottom.
Kulu is way off it at the moment. Needs a full 90 minutes against West Ham, as does Son if fit. The rest of yesterday's starter just Test until next week.

Bentancur most games for us this season has been a steady average 6.
Great 1. of an extent, amount, or intensity considerably above average.
Therefore his performance last night was great.

He might we'll be but he aint up against much in team that will probably finish 17th with 20+ league defeats. Granted we should make the final Of Europe's B Comp (along with Man United who are also crap). The word great is not one I would use to describe anything about Spurs or their players this season.

It will be an interesting final should we both get the job done next week.
We have the history and perhaps trophy winning experience on our side. You guys have the recent wins although not sure how much significance they have in a one off final really.
Will be great for the winners and truly awful for whoever loses it though.

It's 50/50. Spurs get near to full strength, they win. If they are having to play squad players they lose.
