I shall have another go in a bit after breakfast

Norway's fine 3-0 win over Italy last night, inspired by none other than Stale Solbakken, a past manager I quite liked and given unfair treatment by some on here.

Didn't know he had a heart attack back in 2001 while training with Copenhagen. Was declared clinically dead, but was revived 7 minutes later

One of those in the under 24, Dexter Lembikisa is in the Jamaica squad for their match today. Hasn't quite made the step up I hoped for and is out of contract next season. So it looks like another loan for him.

Meh means not fussed or possibly out anyway

We need several new players.

I make that 13 guaranteed impact players as things stand.

To be fair tom king didn't concede a single premier league goal last season

Our keeper situation is a bit messy to be honest. Wouldn't be surprised if Sa was on the way and that would leave us facked. Can definitely see us signing a keeper.

Linked with the greek goalkeeper at Lazio

Goalkeepers: Sa, Bentley, King. Johnstone will go, Bentley and King aren’t good enough to be first cover for Sa so we need a new keeper.

Centre Backs: Doherty, Agbadou, Toti, Santiago, Mosquera. Santi isn’t good enough and may well leave, Mosquera needs to prove his fitness. If he doesn’t we need another two centre backs, if he does we might get away with one.

Wing backs: Ait Nouri has gone probably Semedo will leave too. That leave us with Rodrigo, Hugo and Lima. All good prospects but all lacking much Premier League experience. We need to sign an experienced wing back.

Midfield: keeping Andre and Joao is the number one priority of the summer. But what cover do we have. Doyle will likely go, Traore needs to prove his fitness. Will this prove to be the future role of Munetsi? We need to buy some quality cover.

Forwards: with Cunha and Sarabia gone, and Guedes and Hwang likely to follow and would we want to keep those two anyway. Last season we played Munetsi who through his career averages about a goal every seven games, and Bellegarde who averages two goals a season. We need to sign at least two new forwards and both of them must have goals in their game.

Striker: we have Strand Larsen but no other player that can play that role or that we can rely on for goals. Guedes and Hwang may well leave and would provide poor cover anyway. So we must sign someone who can be cover for Jorgen and hopefully slot into the other forward positions when needed.

You missed Djiga in defence although so far he has been instantly forgettable.

I think Hoever could be a dark horse for a spot at full back.

Agree on needs I think.

GK
WB
MD
FWx2
CF

CB I think we won't add anyone.

Easily forgotten Djiga. Don’t know what to make of him. Played 56 times for Red Star Belgrade before he joined us do he should have been ready to make a contribution. He helped them win the Serbian league and played 16 games for them in the champions league. Yet Pereira clearly doesn’t think he’s ready to play.

Seems Fabio is still angling for a permanent move away this summer and a price of £20m is still being quoted. He enjoyed his time with Las Palmas and is keen to stay in Spain. But evidently 5 clubs in the Bundesliga are also trying to sign him in Borussia Dortmund, Eintracht Frankfurt, Leipzig, Stuttgart and Wolfsburg.

Guedes remains unhappy at Wolves and wants to move on this summer

I actually think Santi Bueno is good enough. He was unfortunate to have joined us during the GON period, which set him back a bit.

Agree with that. Santi Bueno probably worth keeping as back up, with Doherty, Mosquera, Agbadou and Toti.

Evidently the agreed fee for RAN is a measly £31m? That's self evidently ridiculous low and means after we've paid Angers we've barely made a profit.

Just read this about RAN:-

"Defensively he has improved his game since his arrival to the Premier League and his one-v-one defending is of a very good standard." (Totally disagree)

"He needs to improve his decision-making on the ball - he can take one touch too many at times and slow down the ball speed down in a possession game that Pep loves. He also needs to work on his end product in attack. (Totally agree)

According to reports in Spain, Wolves are keen on Barcelona left back Gerard Martin. 23 years old, but not a regular starter. Valued at around 7.5m euros.

Barcelona play with a straight back 4.

On the subject of LB/LWB, Hugo Bueno is still our player and could be classed as "HG". He joined when he was 17 and spent over 3 years at the club before going out on loan.

Dexter Lembikisa played the whole match in Jamaica's 1-0 win last night. Steve McLaren is their manager, so maybe VP should get assessment from him.

RAN has shut down Salah more than once so he can clearly defend well. And if his end product isn't good now given what he already produces then he could very well become the most productive WB of all time.

That was Skys price. Romano and Keen both went a lot higher 37-40 million plus 3 mill add ons. I suspect the Sky price is not accurate

We will be told he can't play fullback in no time if he comes here.

His end product is good, but his decision making has been poor quite a lot this season. He could be scary good if he improved on that, which is what City see in him.

Criticising his 1v1 defending is just lazy these days. It's been good for a long time and for some reason Wolves fans seem obsessed with claiming a wing back can't play full back.
