Cinci and myself saw it coming while you were still telling us that the release clause was complicated. Being reported that Wolves have now made a bid for Guessand. Thought to be in the region of €30m. Lots of clubs after him though. Need Jorge to work a bit more magic.

I struggle to get excited by these (previously unheard of to me at least) names these days until I know if they're going to fall in to the Jota/Neto category or the Guedes/ Silva category. Anyone got any info that would boost my optimism?

I can understand you saying that oldgold but then some of the best signings we’ve made in the Premier League years have been players we’d hardly heard of before they arrived. Jota and Neto are good examples but also Boly, Joao Gomes, Andre, Agbadou.

All I would say is I’m encouraged by Lopez and Guesdand if we can get him is that they are highly rated, have been chased by some of the best clubs in Europe and we’ve only been successful by getting in ahead of other clubs via Jorge Mendes.

Time will tell of course but I’d rather have up and coming guys from the continent than someone a lower end premier team was looking to offload.

according to Wikipedia Lopez plays for us already , seems to have had limited game time but an exciting prospect, his parents are both professionals and he is academic too , studying for a degree, the Sky article is a good read and there is the usual You tube clips of his highlights

New fixtures announced 9am on Wednesday 18th June.

All 380 matches will be confirmed, with the first taking place the weekend of Saturday 16th August and the last on Sunday 24th May – 18 days before the 2026 World Cup begins.

The schedule will consist of 33 weekend matches and five midweek rounds, while no club will play twice within 60 hours during the traditionally busy Christmas period.

Around 215 of the games are going to be broadcast on Sky. Around 55 on TNT. So only about one third of the games won’t be on live tv. Could be a Man City debut for Ait Nouri tonight as they face Casablanca in what should be a one sided game in the Club World Cup. City are 1/20 to win that one.

Also tonight is Portugal’s next game in the Euro U21s. Maybe a start for Rodrigo Gomes who came off the bench and scored in their last game.
