Apparently this new rule begins worldwide on July 1st and goalkeepers will be warned by the referee when they have five seconds remaining to get rid of the ball. The referee will raise their arm and start a visual countdown with their hand.

Lopez is set to have his Wolves medical tomorrow and should formally sign up for us this week.

Pablo Sarabia becomes a free agent at the end of the month and is reported to be on the verge of signing to join Qatar club Al Arabi. Sounds like a nice pay day for him.

The signing of Fer Lopez should be confirmed today or tomorrow. Looks like €25m paid over instalments. But it could replicate the Strand Larsen deal by being a loan with an obligation to buy next summer.

There is evidently many shoulds, coulds, and looks likes, surrounding the signing of Lopez?

Was perusing the cold beer options last night in Brum pre-Pulp gig and elected for Celta's sponsors Estrella Galicia in anticipation of the signing. I have it seems fallen victim to the commercialisation of the beautiful game.

Yeah 2-3 signings and we won't be improving at all.

Most bookies have us to finish 17th and one of these supercomputers has us in that position too. We’ve always known this transfer window was going to be like this. It was always on the cards we’d lose quite a few players and we’ve got to do a really job in selecting the right players to bring in if we’re going to climb anywhere above 17th. The main encouragement is that we have Mendes to help.

What would make my season, as long as we stay up, is for Lopez to outscore Cunha. Wouldn't rule it out.

I don't get the feeling Lopez will be a prolific scorer and I wouldn't expect him to be the Cunha 'replacement'.

That would be delicious but highly unlikely for next season, the lad hasn't played a lot of senior football yet don't forget.

I'd agree with that, we've rarely if ever brought in that many though in a summer window that's not been proceeded by a promotion. As far as I can remember anyway. Fosun's first two summers maybe in the Championship but very different circumstances back then.

I think generally we haven't needed to go to crazy but this summer feels different to me.

Looks like a keeper is on the agenda, also at least one full back it seems, not sure on a CB but the rumours suggest one, I can't see that personally.

If Doyle and Traore are out then a midfielder as well will be needed.

And then most importantly the attacking area, we need at least three new players for me, Fer Lopez being one.

So that would make five more.

In goal Johnstone seems a certain departure but stories now that Sa may go too, hopefully not. Don’t like the idea of Bentley being number one cover. So we will need at least one new one.

Centre back we may be ok but plenty of rumours we are looking to bring one in.

For wing back Hugo, Rodrigo and Lima are all good prospects but an additional experienced one would help.

Andre and Joao are the heart of the team but we need cover. If Doyle and Traore leave we will need someone,.

Up front we have Larsen and Lopez and maybe Munetsi and Bellegarde. But apart from Jorgen I don’t see many goals there. And Larsen is the only one who can play the central role. So to me we need two more.
