Not a good sign for Bueno if he isn't getting starts when the first choice is already out for the tournament unless they were resting players?

Maybe we should be more concerned that we're spending 20m on a kid that's only played 20 times and hasn't even made the u21 squad. (Done some research since yesterday!).

Think there is an element of risk there but I also think the upside is better than average. 20 million for such talent is about right. Will be interesting to see how quickly he fits in though or whether it will be a slow burn up til xmas.

Clubs cannot begin and end the season with two home or two away fixtures, while no club can play at home on both the fixture closest to Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.

This seems to have gone out the window. Two away games in the Christmas period. Liverpool at Anfield on the 27th and Man Utd at Old Trafford on the 30th.

Ah just realised I mis read it. No club can play at home both dates, but you can play away both dates?

I estimate about 12 points from those first 9 games, which is a bit better than last season

Start of the season not as onerous as last season although City on the first day will be tough against their rebuilt side. TV schedule already agreed for the first weekend and Wolves will play City at 17:30 on Saturday 16th live on Sky.

The question is: will it be Semedo or someone else who will be trying to keep Ait Nouri quite in the first match of the season?

Our final match of the season is away at Burnley who, by that time, will already have been relegated.

I wonder how RAN will play in a Pep system. Pep likes to play with an inverted full back, that occupies the midfield space when in possession. RAN tended to drift inside a fair bit last season, so maybe they can see him doing that role.
