Think you need to narrow it down to something like last 200 yrs or something

Otherwise you’ll be looking at ancient dynasties and you’ll be there all day

Trump will be on that list one way or another (good or bad) in the future.

I don't think it has ever been determined exactly when we became "Human" so I have included ancestors.

1. The first replicating molecule (Last Universal Common Ancestor)

2. The first photosynthesising cyanobacterium

3. The first Eukoryote (cell with a Nucleus)

4. The first multicellular animal - Some sponge like guy

5. The first vertebrate with a spine - The great-great-great grandfish of all vertebrates

6. The first fish to walk on land

7. The first mammal - a shrew like fellow

8. The first primate - a little tree dwelling fellow with hands

9. The first guy to get off all fours and walk the walk

10. The first human to make use of fire

There is a full history of the most important guys in our history. All that follow are far less worthy. These guys were game changers. Not like who invented putting milk in coffee or whatever minor things you are discussing from modern times.

Then it becomes pointless because it's like asking what someone's favourite music is - there's just too much. Secondly, not so much information remains about the ancients so they probably need an importance multiplier. No cant knows who invented fire and is probably up there.

Darwin can gtf. Whilst he changed understanding his work didn't immediately change the world other than helping us piece together some theories on continent formation and evolution - it didn't change either.

Even if you look at someone like Berners-Lee he wouldn't come up with his net without personal computers in turn without microchips and whilst there were obvious leading lights in that field the reality is the unsung heroes are not the inventers but the myriad developers shrinking the geometries and improving the processes.

World used to be full of smart people.

Jesus Christ - obviously

Winston Churchill - the only person who stood up to Hitler

Marie Curie - discovered polonium and radium

Abraham Lincoln - he abolished slavery in America

Confucius - he identified how a family should be, (the role of wives to husbands and children to parents), morality in government, and the promotion of justice.

William Shakespeare - reinvented the English language

Isaac Newton - for his invention of calculus which modernized mathematics.

Elvis - the inventor of rock and roll.

Nikola Tesla - for the way he harnessed electricity and how we use it today.

Alexander Graham Bell - he invented the telephone. Simple.

Edison - invented the light bulb.

There are many more, but these people have influenced how we live today more than most others, they are the reason why we have things like free speech, mobile phones, TV's, morality, the English language, cures for cancer, modern music and the Christian faith.

Jesus Christ existed, that isn't up for debate.

I'd say he's number 1 tbh. Influenced billions of people for 2000 years.

Mohammed another, he existed too.

The most of the words we use today were invented by Shakespeare, even other languages use his words, albeit translated into their language.
