Modric Speaks.......<erm>

It's too much, his scoring and assisting stats are well known and debated, IMO Parker is more influential in how you boys play than Modric - Modric can pick a pass and has a decent touch granted but £50 million? That price bracket is reserved for game changers and match winners at the very pinnacle of the game, Modric is neither

Excellent copying&pasting, you have come far young lad!

What? Like Torres?

His comments are similar to what Ronaldo used to say before he went off to Madrid. I think most people knew he would be off in the Summer, these comments pretty much confirm it for me. The thing is will Spurs go back to old ways and sell to somebody like Chelsea/United who they want to challenge for the title with or will they sell abroad. Nobody abroad will pay £40M for him (well maybe somebody like Anzhi, PSG, Malaga who he wouldn't want to go to) whereas Chelsea and United would probably come up with that sort of money for him even if he isn't worth it. So what will Levy do?

Yeah I thought Torres and Carrol would be brought up (I'm a Liverpool fan) but everyone accepts too much was paid for Carroll and Torres at his peak was a game changer and match winner - that seems to be a long way behind him now though

Fact is that Modric has a gentlemans agreement to leave this summer. Those quotes say it all.

we can wait

posted on 29/12/11

SI,

That was 12-18m before he was sold though - even better

posted on 29/12/11

Interesting read. Basically its a big "come get me Chelsea, I'll be waiting" plea.

To me it reads:

"Jog on Chelsea, why would I want to move to you and have my career go to the graveyard like Torres"

"Basically its a big "come get me Chelsea, I'll be waiting"

And if you are a big enough club to afford the Levy tax.

If you sell your "leather biker" gear (yeah I know WengersNearlyMental will ) and put into the , along with the rest of the "massive fanbase worldwide" , that could ... just about make the ... entry level for the bidding.

I'm being honest ladies, if you read between the lines, that's what modric is saying. don't shoot the messenger

Bubbles :

Do you wear the "GI" outfit in Mrs Michs' Village People ??

posted on 29/12/11

Bubbles, ain't you learnt from getting all over excited over Modric only to be disappointed like the summer? Even if, and that's a big IF modric wants to go in the summer then there is no way he is going to chelsea because Levy won't let him. But why would he want to leave when spurs will be playing in the CL next season

I have no affliliation with Mich

Don

I think it will be the same as the Ronaldo situation and he'll go in the Summer, possibly to Real or Inter, I agree in that Darth Levy won't let him join us though

Yes the text clearly says "cha vs come and get me"

Particularly if you read it blindfolded and have a vivid imagination

Spurs have a ready made replacement in Kranjcar - except he chips in with goals too - 'arry knows this and if he would of been in charge of transfers he would of bit Chelsea's hand off at probably £35 million for Modric

posted on 29/12/11

He goes to inter or another European club then yes i would be gutted because we would lose one of our best players but i wouldn't be as bad if we sold him to a prem club. We would then have the whole summer to get a decent replacement.........saying that, if spurs manage to get a really good position like 3rd and send out a message that the title is what we are going for next season then i see no reason why Modric would want to go, depends purely on how spurs do this season judging by Modrics comments

"I have no affliliation with Mich"

Yes, you do.
You are part of WengersNearlyMental "posse" .

The other week he married Mich to live in a "civil partnership" in an attempt to avoid RDBD floorwiping.

He is now Mrs Mich.
You won't see him too much on Spurs 606 nowadays cos Mich is continually bumming him.

QED.

Don't forget you'll probably be getting a new manager this summer and a different set of backroom staff. All costs money

Hi Grandspur

Don

Maybe VDV could drop deeper and play that role, it would be a blow but you could still recover.

I would like to hang on to Modric but he is not irreplaceable. If we get top 4 and he wants to leave. I would happily sell him for 40 million and use the money to buy a top clinical striker.
