Not a name you would associate with our vacancy (if we actually have one). But why not? I read tonight that he is one of the remaining contenders for the Rotherham hot seat.
If he is prepared to go there - why not us? I don't consider them to be particularly bigger than us. They haven't got a ground (though they will have soon). Presumably they are skint. Our vacancy is surely as appealing as theirs if not more so.
I also heard today that a certain fat Scotsman who will be in town tomorrow has been linked with their vacancy.
On another matter, Barnet 0 Torquay 1. An easy one for my predictor that one. Swindon (h), Cheltenham (a) and Crawley (h) their next 3 games and they are 7 points behind us.

With Mark Robins still being out of work i still think we have got a chance he will start the new season with us.The season tickets are up for applications now and surely Ben will let it be known who it will be in charge of team affairs. The sale of season tickets will surely be boosted by employing a manager like him therefore helping to pay his wages.Stick with what we have got and it will have the reverse effect. What do you gentlemen think.???

Robins and Clark are the 2 supposed contenders for the Rotherham job. The fact that folk keep seeing Buckle at our ground is telling.
I think that the frontrunner is Gary Rowett. It's his job to gain or lose - or rather the players will determine his fate. They want him as the next Manager by all accounts.
If we lose most of our games between now and the end of the season, we will appoint someone then.
If we show a bit of the 'Gillingham Spirit' throughout and pick up a few wins and a few draws, it will be his.

I certainly dont want Rowett in charge,as far as im concerned he was a part of the Pesc fiasco.Lets face it Otep yourself and me could have got the odd win from now and the end of the season manageing that shower, its the law of averages.I would not even consider Rowett but then again with Ben who knows what will happen next.

Guys. Talking to a very good source yesterday it looks like it will be Robins job at Rotherham if he wants it.
Agree with emnez not certain Rowett is the answer.
If he gets the job it will be Ben doing it on the cheap again.

Not sure who will get the position but would agree it is Rowetts to lose, that is the cheapest option and unless he makes a real pigs ear of it he will get it, for that reason alone.
No point thinking any further because i'm sure Ben isn't and the managers being toted about are way out of Ben's budget requirements.
I'm not being critical of Gary Rowett, its early days and we are in no rush,if we pick up points its a cheap option till end of season and beyond.
Even though we showed such spirit against Gillingham and i have moved to within easy walking distance of the ground i can't find the enthusiasm to attend and will be partaking in one of my other interests again today.
