Recent article in the latest Sunday World claims that several ROI players are expressing frustration with Trapp's tactics and more importantly his selection policy. The names mentioned were Andrews(very worrying), Coleman and believe it or not, the doyen of the moment, Jimmy McClean. One of the players, strongly rumoured to have been Andrews, is claimed to have implied that he might have got better treatment if he had opted for N. Ireland! Is he related to the famous Andrews family of Comber, I wonder? Anyway, this is not the sort of thing ROI supporters want to hear just before the Euros. Attention Michael O'Neill!

Sunday World are never shy about altering the truth for a story.
I heard Andrews on Newstalk last week and he did say that the players would obviously like to play a more attacking game, but they also like winning matches and qualifying for tournaments, so are happy with the system. He also said McClean will have to tweak his game to fit the system.
Not really big news.
Thats a good one about N. Ireland though. I think that statement is true of anyone on the island of Ireland. Even I would have had more of a chance of a game by declaring for the North (and I only ever progressed as far as the Leicester Celtic C team!).

The dreaded split eh ?Twouldn't be the first time .
The Comber link rings true, which fulfills the ol Ben Bradlee rule of two confirmed sources on the record .But,, that chain smoking bloke , mumbling something about following the money had a different tale to tell.He said twas the late Todd Andrews clan that Keith was from. The same Todd who shut down the rail line through the Southside cos he didn't want to see Masons getting subsidised travel in to their meetings, while his descendants re-opened it as the space age Luas.Football's a funny old game
