There You Have It, So Shut Her Up

Watching The ladies final and I'm noticing something rather interesting. According to those whom won't admit it's gamesmanship to put off opponents, Shriekapova's ridiculous constant yelling with every shot is about venting aggression into the shot to get the maximum power she can.

But I am watching her play a smaller opponent whom I have no doubt she is physically stronger than, consistently hit the ball harder and faster than she can...And she's barely making a sound. Surely if the reasoning claimed to be behing the shrieking is accurate then she should be hitting the ball way harder and faster than her smaller weaker QUIET opponent.

Can we please have someone make this woman have to stop with all the noise since it's blatantly not necessary and nothing more than shrouded cheating.

NB: I'm not saying that nobody should ever be allowed to grunt. But it should be a few shots here and there and serves. NOT on every stroke of the ball and not at the very top of thier voice every time.

In all seriousness though it is ridiculous and I invariably find myself wanting tennis players who scream that loudly and incessantly to lose. Imagine it becoming the norm in other sports.......here's O'Sullivan lining up the red into the far right pocket........Ooooooaaaahhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!

That's quite the picture to imagine. I am ecstatic watching the ladies final at the moment I just want Kvitova to close out this match so I can go HA HA HA HA HA pointing at mouth almighty and singing "You and your shriek lost!"

If Sharapova doesn't need to screech when she's on the practice courts then why on earth does she need to do it against an opponent??
I'm glad Kvitova won If she can get to the Wimbledon final without shrieking her way through then maybe Sharapova can learn a lesson or two.
