Great and very objective article. But I still go with League: it's not just a contact sport as the author seems to be inferring; there is skill & strategy involved within those 6 tackles per turnover. The author keeps on hinting that League is "simpler" of the two sports, but I wouldn't always attest to that.

I have seen many enthralling Union games that don't resort to the same old same old kick, run, penalty goal scenario. But by and large I do find the sport dull & lacking in style or grace.

League can have its drab moments as well of course, but by and large I come away from a League match with a sense of enjoyment & raw spectacle compared to Union.

So needless to say my vote went to League
