Perhaps its not appropriate to wish all spurs fans a good morning but i hope you are all well and in good health.
Like many of you this morning i woke feeling totally depressed, with only my beautiful fiance reminding me that life is still good.
What a nightmare yesterday was, i was looking forward to the game all day and felt reasonably confident that we would beat Chelsea and beat an average Liverpool side in the final. Especially after our recent performances against chelsea where we have been the better team for a while now.
The referee's scandalous decision to award the goal that never was, certainly changed the whole complex of the game especially apart from a great Drogba goal we were the better team. The decision not to send Cech off and then the injury to Luiz where play had stopped for four or five minutes when spurs had gained a head of steam didnt help us also.
However the bottom line is our defending was poor for the 3rd goal which killed the game off. We were then picked off after obviously having to throw everybody forward. The scoreline flattered Chelsea but they still deserved to win.
Our form over tha last couple of months is dreadful, we played well against Bolton and Swansea but thats it.
In January we were flying and we had the opportunity to kick on and improve the squad. Harry said he wouldnt let anyone leave as he needed a big squad for the run in, Then Corluka and Pienaar begged him to leave and he relented. Because of Harrys poor squad rotation we ended up with unhappy players who werent match fit. We also ended up with no cover for Kyle Walker who has played too many games now.
We then signed two ageing players- Saha and Nelson who in there prime WERE top quality but their day has gone. Every Spurs Fan and his dog Knew we needed a top cb and winger and again we didnt spend in a transfer window.
I honestly believe Harry is just too close and friendly with the players, He should have told Corluka and Pienaar that they are still under contract and made them stay. He should have rotated his squad, rested Kyle walker at times and played Pienaar on the right wing instead of Bale, Vdv and modric.
Harry is a good manager but he loves the media too much, you dont see Alex Ferguson driving out of Uniteds training ground talking to sky sports news reporters.
Theres no doubt England will come calling for Harry and he WILL accept the England job. Daniel Levy is in for a busy summer......
As soon as the the season finishes Levy will get every penny out of the FA and with this compensation money use it to hopefully appoint Moyes as soon as possible. David Moyes in my opinion is a fantastic manager and i have no doubt he will be a huge sucess at Tottenham. He is disciplanarian, a great tactician and man manager and also has a fantastic eye for buying players.
If we do get moyes he needs to undergo a major rebuild of our squad.
Starting at the back we need to sell Gomes and bring in a top young keeper who can understudy the excellent Brad Friedel and be ready to be our number one after next season.
At full back Corluka needs to be bought back to rotate with Walker, Sell Rose who isnt good enough and signs a new left back to compete with Bae.
In central defence we need to bring back the highly promising Caulker and sign a top centre half. Release gallas and Nelson so we are left with Kaboul, New cb, dawson and Caulker and appoint King as a player coach (5th choice Cb)
In midfield i would accept any decent bid for Modric who's heart is not with Tottenham and sign a replacement to play alongside Parker. We will then have sandro, Huddlestone and Livermore in reserve.
Bring back Pienaar to compete with Bale and offer a last chance for Bentley who i believe could flourish under Moyes. Also bring Townsend back into the squad. We will then have Lennon, Bale, Bentley, Pienaar and Townsend fighting it out for the wide positions.
Sell Kranjcar, Jenas and Dos Santos.
Upfront i cant see us signing Adebayor, he is a good player but not the goal scorer we need. His wages are too high anyway.
We then need to sign two strikers to accompany Vdv and Defoe.
We will then have strength in depth and balance and can play either a 4-3-3 or 4-4-2.
Sorry its been a mammoth read.
Fingers crossed for the rest of the season.

I agree with a lot of what you say.
I think you’re wrong about the’goal’ yesterday as discussed on another thread, but that a nothing point really.
I also think you;re wrong about rose though. He has been excellent when he has played.
Regarding the cbs, i think gallas or nelsen would be worth keeping for another season to play alongside a pacey cb if necessary. To play galas alongside ledley gave him no chance to be fair.

I do not think David Moyes is the answer buddy.
He is great at Everton and great at bringing youngsters through (we have the best batch of youngsters in europe coming through arguably) but his tactics would not be accepted.
He believes in a more Defensive tactic and his change of tactics at half-time on saturday lost everton the game.
