The magnificent crowd of 652 for the cup match against dewsbury tells its own story,dewsbury must be rubbing their hands at their share of the gate reciepts,maybe just cover the cost of the diesel for the coach trip down there.!
I know it means the RL would have to accept years of preaching the gospel of expansion has failed miserably.
We had the pleasure of the catalan dragons yesterday and we offered a £1000 prize for spotting the catalans supporter,but unsurprisingly it wasn't won.
Why can't we go back to promotion and relegation,when you had to earn your place in the top division and give teams like featherstone,leigh,halifax etc a chance to progress and earn a place where they feel they belong,instead of continually wasting our time with the failed london experiment.?

I've always said keep expansion in the Summer Conference amateur league Rugby League is not a big enough sport to draw the crowds in the professional game why the RFL keep on preaching it I'll never know,perhaps it might cool off now Richard Lewis has gone.

Couldn't agree more,what amazes me is how come it takes 30 years to realise an experiment isn't working.
I have always thought promotion and relegation makes common sense in any sport,unless you are the RL.!

All the while David Hughes is bankrolling them the RFL will them run. Remember unlike some other clubs they have no debt as such as David Huges pays of the debt.
Perhaps another question that should be asked on another matter is why clubs which have been playing Rugby League for over 100 years still have to rely on imports to make up their numbers?
