Hang on a minute you lot - The female in question stated she was so intoxicated that she didn't know what she was doing. That being so, how the hell can she be sure that she didn't also give Evans consent?

Appears very strange that the jury believed her and not Evans, who maintains she did give him consent.

Anyhow, I think the court wanted to give Evans a short sharp shock and I expect his appeal to be upheld, otherwise there's going to be lot of vindictive women in the future, claiming they've been raped in similar circumstances.

Having said that, Evans was an absolute idiot to allow himself to be put in that situation in the first place, but what do you expect? - after all he's just another brainless, over paid and over hyped football player who thinks he can get away with anything.

As none of us were in court or privy to the court documents. All we are discussing is pure speculation. To my mind the video of the event is the damming of Evans.
If it shows MacDonald with the girl and she appears to be participating in a way that you would expect from someone that has given consent, then it shows Evans getting it on with the girl and she's passed out, then to me he's a rapist. Notwithstanding any court cases, why would you want to hook up with a girl, text your mates. Have one mate in the room watching and a couple of mates peeping in the window. Then do a tag team move.

I reckon you've jumped to conclusions yourself there T F (Purely out of curiousity are you male/female ? as its nice to get as many points of view as we're able) insofar as you state ..

Look I've No Wish to make light of this ~ Most Serious of Issues ~ But I do have concerns about the male position in particular & I'm real keen to get as much analysis and broad perspective spread of views as is possible ..

Whilst again disassociating myself from the ruling given by A JURY on the Evans Case its fair to say Completely Innocent folks can have their lives ruined by drunkards .. Some are Killed by them ..

As I wrote in my first line. Its all pure specuation. We just don't know. One gets off, one goes to jail. The only way I could see that happening is if the video shows something.
