Absolute joke that if you get 2 yellows you miss a match. There are 6 matches after group stages before the final. Being allowed just 1 mistake in 6 matches is not fair. They should increase this to 3 bookings and you miss a match. Four Chelsea players will miss the final and I expect a few more on yellows tonight to miss the final.

The card count is reset after the group stages.

I fail to see how it's a joke. It's always been that way. I mean I get that it seems harsh. But tbh, two yellow cards in six matches means getting booked a third of the time. That doesn't seem overly ridiculous to me.

the problem is its also quite simple for players to dive, over react or purposley get players sent off.
look at the Barcelona penalty last night, Fabregas took a dive and Drogba could of easily been booked resulting in a final ban.

I think some kind of retroactive rescinding of yellows sometimes would alleviate that. The biggest concern there should be the diving anyway, had Messi converted that could have been the end of it. But really making the rules more lenient because players cheat doesn't seem like answering a problem to me.

they already reset the cards after the group stages. doing any more than that would encourage foul play. the players know the rules, if they fall foul of them, then that is their problem, not a problem with the rules.

The rules are the rules, it's tough on players who miss a final, but that's life.
I would say with how soft some of the bookings are these days, it should be 3 to miss the final (I thought it already was?).

Ande Cesc should be banned for that dive. It was woeful.

Oh, and yes, UEFA should take away cards if players have conned an official into booking them by faking injury or diving.
As said above, if Drog was booked for the Cesc dive yesterday, they wouldn't have been allowed to appeal it, which is a joke.

Cesc should be fined and banned for that dive. And he had the cheek to appeal for it. Shocking.

He only should be fined and banned if we do that already. We don't. So why make a special case in this instance? It's not exclusive to foreign teams. Welbeck might have won a title doing it. Shouldn't he be banned/fined etc?
