Is Arsene's job really safe ?

Is Arsene's job safe? I ask the question because of his histrionics in the technical area has become a laughing stock and I feel is an embarrassment to our club.

What happend to Mr Cool, Le Prof, Mr Unflappable.? Has the American given Wenger an ultimatum.? Finish in the top four, nothing else will do.Who knows?

Prehaps, if we fail to get a top 4 spot, we'll find out. Just asking

Cheers, Grandgoonerama

Moyes is not an improvement on Wenger. Good manager.

Arsene's job cannot be safe if we fail to qualify for a CL spot.

Especially with Pep available. And unlike Chelsea he quite fancies Arsenal. There is far less pressure and he can live quite anonymously in London.

Pep, Bielsa or Emery should replace Wenger when he leaves.

Has he said anything about Arsenal? How do you know he likes us?

Not specifically. But Pep has stated he wants to manage abroad in a team that play a similar way to Barca, and would like a project ie 5 year period without any pressure to produce results.

Pep has also recently said that he is seriously planning to move to London for his 'sabbatical'.

So I don't know which team he could have in mind? I do realize that could be Chelsea and AVB was talking in the same way, but I doubt any manager would think that Roman doesn't put pressure on the manager.

Although to be fair a lot of that was said in Dec when L'Equipe sort of exposed Arsene's thinking. When we were looking unlikely top finish in the top 4 and Arsene looked out of ideas. But then Arsene dropped Ramsey and suddenly we looked better than Man City/Man Utd and Wenger looked rejuvenated. Thats why I think it would require us to finish outside the top 4. I don't think Arsene will be pushed. It would need him to make a change in his role.

Of course Arsene job is safe, the only one who will kick him out is himself!

Pep isn't available yet! Did no one believe him that he wanted a break?

Wenger was outraged by some of the decisions and rightly so

He was dignified in face of the abuse and rightly so

Are you even a gooner? To suggest he should go because of that is just odd

Ten 1 's sums your opinion up

I don't think anyone doubts he wants a break from management. Its just a matter of how long the 'break' will be. You also have to look at Arsene's contract and Fergie's age. Some very big jobs are going to be available in the next 18/24 months.

I suspect Pep doesn't want the association with a team that could be on the decline. The youngsters at Barca are just not in the same class as Inieista, Xavi, Messi etc. And Mourinho is on the verge of defeating that team! Thats the pressure Pep wants out of.

Any manager not in a job is available.
