I think this is the problem. We have to stop comparing ourselves to clubs like Man Utd. I know we want to be as big as them, be as rich as them & have the club attraction like they do, but we do not currently have the financial muscle to achieve what they have.

As i said on another article, which was about whether we should have rotated the squad more (which i dont want to go into on here) but we just do not have options like Nani, Valencia, Giggs, Young & Park, who can all play in the same position.

I agree that Harry shouldnt be talking about Modric leaving or whatever else publicly, but i'm not sure that makes him a good or bad manager.

With the likes of Walker coming through & the possibility of Caulker shaping up in the same way, i think he is doing good for our club.

does everyone realise that if hodgson doesnt do well, then the skummedia will put pressure on the fa to get Harry in.. so we can expect much more of this redknapp for england nonsense !

and lets face it, england are shiet, so hodgson wont do well

Harry has proven he can deliver a successful final third of a season as shown in 2010.

So what has happened for the last two seasons?

Ok I know we can still finish top 4 this season but I am talking about form over the final third when it truly matters. If we get across the line this season we will have crawled across it.

Last season I could accept what happned because of our CL journey but this season was the same as 2010 only we have shown no balls for the run in (up to now).

Next season Harry will be under pressure to improve end of season performance whether we are in CL or not.

Okay, 1 trophy would be nice but i'm sure you can see the improvements & the fact we're heading in the right direction.

We were on par with Villa 3 seasons ago - just look at what a change of manager has done for them.

When we get anywhere NEAR a trophy, not capitulating utterly (e.g. this season with the 'title challenge', last season CL QF 4-0 Madrid, this season FA semi 5-1) or even with limited but realistic aspirations (CL qualification last season and this, Europa this season, Carling Cup every season under Harry) would be a nice start

What improvements? What 'heading in the right direction'? Our football's been better for 2/3 of this season. Unfortunately the other 1/3 has cost us very very dear.

Squad-wise, whoever's in charge this summer has got an almost-insurmountable job to rebuild imo.

Harry never learns. Freekicks not working? Bale on the left not working? Defoe scoring but Harry's first choices not? Crocked defence always injured? Lennon's confidence shot to pieces? His answer - do nothing, or spout utter carp to the media that only makes things worse!

I'm sick of him right now and if he's still here next season with a decimated squad (his doing imo) I hope it's his last, because he will NEVER have us challenging for the league (yes I believe, and have said many many times, this first team and squad - pre-Jan - was good enough to do so) and a decent cup run - ultimately ending in a not-so-glorious defeat - is about all we can expect.

Decent enough manager, I hope the next guy who comes in is also a decent COACH who doesn't think tactics are those small mints that come in plastic dispensers

Who would I rather have? Hoddle, Jol, Martinez, hell even Moyes and Rodgers probably. Basically anyone with a bit of integrity and discipline about them who a) has some sort of plan and b) isn't just in everything for ME ME ME.

That's my Harry rant over. Of course when he guides us to third spot this season and two or three trophies next season I will take it all back

Can not argue with you there mate.. The whole season has fallen apart and that lose at City started it all , game we should of won, after that we lost our belief

I want reasons as to why we weakened our squad in jan and what why we have changed the way we play, its not as if Bale on the right is working is it

I dont recall saying he shld be winning trophies overnight...just learning from his mistakes....!!!!

Fergie is/shld be the bench mark for any aspiring gaffer for me....
