Been really impressed with his performance again tonight. He is looking like an all rounder with the right mentality (unlike Henderson). He is such a confident player and has only started a handful of games. How many other players on that pitch would attempt or ever see that 40+ yard ball to Kuyt? Surely has to become one of the first nmes on the team sheet.
Oh and Dembelle against Spearing looks like when your playing football against your 5 year old brother!

Henderson is absolutely shocking. Embarrassing we paid £16m for someone so average (at best)
Shelvey is a much better player.

Were you even watching the game? Shelvey was absoluteky awful. No composure and trying to pull off fancy flicks when the basics will do. Not fit to lace Gerrard's boots

Shelvey looked like he was trying way too hard along with Spearing. We desperately need Aquilani back to offer us that ounce of creativity we crave!

I thought Shelvey started well but as the game progressed and there was more pressure for us to search for the winner he started misplacing passes etc.
I think he tried to be a bit too Roy of the Rovers hence all the silly flicks etc. Just a bit of inexperience really.
It also doesn't help that there was no movement from any of the front six players. I swear that the main feature of our attacking play is for our players to stand still surrounded by 2-3 opposition players with their arms in the air expecting the pass. Suarez being the exception - his movement his incredible.
