Moving topic a bit, while twiddling our thumbs for the MKD thread (zzzzzzzzzzz)...What about York City to beat Luton and get back into the league again ?
They were great times going over the York to watch Town...sadly they were relegated in 2003/4, but not before beating Town 1-0 at our place which amazingly saw them top the league at the time...but alas.........
It was all down hill from there, as they finished the season with 5 draws and 15 defeats in their last 20 games...to finish bottom and doomed to obscurity for the next 8 years...
Although I don't expect we'll ever play them again , it would be good to see another Yorkshire team in the football league, yes ? Especially the capital city of Yorkshire.
Other nostalgic places from the past...Chester City..(Jenny Bradley) .Wrexham....Lincoln (play off success)...Mansfield Town (who can forget these guys)...also Luton Town (what a dump !)....and how I miss the fish and chips from Grimsby...and that wonderfull sunny afternoon at Stockport when we hammered them 6-0....
aah, do we really want to go up to the Championship guys ?
