Ledley King...

Hello

It appears King is having yet more surgery on his knee this summer in the hope that he will sign a new contract extension with us...

As sad as it is he cant keep putting himself through all of this, i would rather remember King as the colossus he was, rather than him to come back and see him struggling

I understand that its been a case of Harry asking Ledley if he feels OK to play, but its been clear that his last 3 or 4 games he has been struggling a lot yet still started matches, unless this surgery is going to work then i cant see why we would even think about offering him a new contract, madness

This just shows what fantastic commitment ledley has to the spurs cause.
Hopefully this new operation will be a sucsess and perhaps he will carry on for another year or two.
With perhaps Verghtongen joining and having young Caulker ready for first team duties Ledley could end up being 5th choice but his experience will be invaluable to the squad.
Id love him to be a part player and defensive coach at spurs.
Who better to teach the likes of Walker, Caulker, Naughton, Rose and Uvini the art of defending ?

Well said Benny, he will have a future with us what ever happens but im struggling to see a future for him on the pitch, how many more operations can he have? Will he have time to get any Pre-Season in? Will he be able to train during the week? It all seems a bit far fetched, but would love for him to be able to coach our younger defenders

Done for.
So wanted to see him lead Spurs out in the CL at WHL.
Probably not gonna happen.

Onto the coaching staff.
Fill Caulker with his game-reading knowledge.

"whats an 'uvini' "

Like "Uvavu" in Shooting Stars, but when you get the wrong CB.

Forgot about Bruno Uvini !!

What RDBD said

Looking very unlikely, it seems this operation is just to stop the pain rather than King be able to play again.

On 14 February 2012, Tottenham Hotspur agreed to sign signed Bruno Uvini on loan until the end of 2011–12 season, with an option to make the move permanent for €3.7 million.[1][2][3][4] Uvini failed to live up to expectations at Tottenham and the club opted not to sign him on a permanent basis. He left without making a first-team appearance for the London-based club.
