I've just typed "Npower Championship" into Google and the first hit took me to a site flogging gas and electricity.
No mention of football at all. Not good.
But I had more success with my second attempt. There IS a web-site and it's actually quite impressive.
And you should see some of the teams in there. Most of 'em are ex-Prem.
It's like a "Prem Lite" or something.
And now I'm worried............
Who's up for a rollercoaster ride back down through the divisions like we had in the eighties?
It was fun. (I think.) We were a big fish (kind of) and we always seemed to take loads to away games and dominate the atmosphere. (Well, maybe that was just the beer but it's how I remember it.)
And just a quick word to Owen: If you're still in charge next season, remember, when you're shoe-horning the full name of the league into every third sentence, it's not the Bar'laaays Premyur League anymore: It's the N'poor Chamyanshap.
It's sinking in.......

Do we get to play in the Freight Rover Trophy again now?
Anybody else remember playing football on Blackpool beach before the northern final?
It must have been about 600 a side.

zcat, it's only Mark Iles speculating on Mavis & Chungy, nothing from the club on that one. The important news is that SKD has signed a new contract.
Iles also says that it looks like Owen Coyle will be still with us come the new season. I know how a lot of posters will feel about that but I will be happy if that is the case. There is no right or wrong about our mixed feelings on Coyle, but time will tell if it's the right decision.
In the meantime, keep the faith.

Excellent stuff Breaders, bring on the NPoor. Like my Seasiders mate says, 'we're going to a better place', no mega rich spoiled brats, no John Terry, No Glazers, Abramovich or obscenely oil peddlars.
And it'll be good to watch all the star-feckers give up their season tickets at the 'bok cos they can't watch their closet boy-friends from Manu and Arsenal etc play any more....

Don't think N'Power are too fussed about whether managers say the full name of the league like Barclay's are so Owen can just call it the championship.
The old Division 3 is where I started my Wandering and we'd just won the Sherpa Van Trophy.
Also we may actually get ourselves on the opening titles of a football based tv show for a change.

I wont miss OC plugging the Barclays premier League every second sentence..so thats a plus for relegation.
