Both great players and it will be a shame to see them leave. They played a part in our promotion season and are part of the reason why we are still in the league today.
They were certainly whole hearted players and gave everything to Burton Albion football club. Quick to sign new contracts when they were put before them.
My best memory of TJ was when we won 3-4 away at Hereford. 3-1 down it looked all over. We got back to 3-3 and TJ headed one in 5 or 6 minutes in to added time. Superb.
I remember Rhino as being one of three players who would always make rapid strides over to the away fans win, lose or draw (with Macca and Aaron). He respected us and showed his appreciation of our support. His free kicks, his versatility being prepared to play at right back and his pin point long range passing will also stick in the memory.
Good luck to TJ and Rhino with the rest of their careers.

I must say my friend your genorosity in such praise must be applauded, your rating of these players is far higher than mine as you know already reading my posts throughout the season. For me they were sadly lacking in quality and leadership to be top class centre backs, they were just average for me and would struggle to even get in my squad let alone first eleven.I wish them well for the future and i hope they find another club soon but i think they will struggle to find league football,Conference tops, but that is only my opinion my good friend.

Tend to agree with you Emnez, OK Conference level but thats it,Tony may have been league standard in his prime but Ryan sadly never has been and far too inconsistent.
Both gave good service to the club and deserve anyones respect for that.

The odds were stacked against them in many respects.
First season. Flapper behind them. Branno shouting at them.
Second season playing with the overpaid one.
Third season, keeper who had his nerves shot to pieces and a midfield that left them without cover.
All 3 seasons - full backs who were not that good (perhaps with the exception of Boerts and Amankwaah).

Both good players in there time but sadly lacking in league two.
Austin could never keep his concentration for 90 mins and was always likely to give silly free kicks away which usually resulted in the opposition scoring.
As for James will sadly remember him for being given the run around by Steve kabba last season.
Correct decision to release them now.
