Vertonghen - Arsenal or Spurs

I Thought Arsenal were interested on signing Sakho from PSG, which is why we dropped our interest on Vertonghen.
At least that what the french media are saying!

Sakho has had a very average season at PSG. It's no secret Wenger is an admirer, add to that I'd imagine his value will probably be half of what he was rated at 18 months/a year ago. He is also a capable leftback (as well as centreback), that might tempt Wenger. But like I said, he's had a pretty average season this campaign in France, I'm not sure Wenger will have been impressed with what he's seen.

What's Sakho's situation at the moment? Has he got long left on his current contract? Has he been playing much this season and if so, how's his form been?

I remember Arsenal being linked to him just before the money arrived at PSG. One of the main reasons we were linked with Vertonghen was his relative cheapness. Can't imagine Wenger spending the sort of fee and wages it would take to land Sakho, to be honest.

It'd be lovely to be proved wrong though.

Good point but people (including me) believe it has more to do with Ancelotti, whom is not a big fan of Sakoh than the players himself.
Also don't forget that PSG started to spend big and wants a world class player for each position!
Sakho is very young and powerfull. he could be exactly what we need.

Answer = nobody knows!

Spurs are definitely interested and have held talks. The player had his name mentioned a few times with Arsenal and the Dutch press breaking a story a couple of weeks ago that he'd already signed for Arsenal (wrongly) just poured water on the fat fryer.

He still might end up at the lane, but the fact that Spurs won't be in the Champs League may well have dealy there plans a blow.

I hope we are interested in him. Not too expansive and a good player to have around.

Funny enough, apparently the PSG has just twitted that Ancelotti wants to keep sakho because he is a very promising player, despite the fat that he has hardly played him this year and cost him a place to the Euro!

He wouldn't be guaranteed first team football for us so he won't sign for Arsenal even if we were interested.

Couldn't see him breaking into the centre back spot for us if he did sign anyway.

To be fair to the guy he does seem to want to play regularly rather than be a squad player so good luck to him.

I don't think a lack of CL at spurs will put him off as he probably sees himself becoming a first team regular and challenging for a CL spot in the league next season.

If AC Milan are seriously interested then Spurs have some competition
