The thing I don't get is why can't arsenal/arsene pull out the bag, those cheap, young unknown players like they use to. the ones that also turned out to be world beaters unlike the young players we buy now that turn in to duds.
Its purchases like Vieira, Ljundberg, toure, anelka, cesc and possibly clichy (the early days).
It seems now that when ever we go for someone young and very good as opposed to just 'young and possible potential', its a case of being two or three years too late. By then the price tags being waved around is 20m.
or is it just me overlooking the current squad?

He was looking really slow against West Brom. He kept pulling shirts which had me crapping myself every time someone charged at him in the box.

the scouting system now is different and not only just @ Arsenal.
Medias and information are shared much sooner and faster than 10 years ago.
Good, young and unknow player, well there is not such of things anymore.
As soon as a player do one or two tricks, he gets his own youtube uploaded video!

Koscielny would get into any team in the league.
Sagna was a great find for £6m or whatever we paid.
We do find good young players but they'll be a bit longer in coming through. I think Miquel could have a future at the club, Coquelin does and Jenkinson has showed some promise. If they work hard they could become excellent players.
