Liverpool fans will be cheered by their US owner's promise to move them to a new purpose-built stadium. However the bad news is that the stadium will be in Grand Rapids, Michigan. When questioned about this by journalists he replied that the Liverpool 'franchise' can be moved anywhere in the globe and that this was standard practice in the US.
He understands that the move will dismay many fans but has promised to rename the club with a name that reflects their new surroundings while not forgetting their origins and the pastimes of many young scousers - Grand Rapids Theft Auto.
