I've had some interesting debates on this subject with a number of posters. As usual these discussions were had in a respectable and well mannered way with both sides showing humility.
One side believed that a creative player creates chances after chances. That simple.
Doesn't matter how he sets people up, whether that be a cross or a scuff, if he racks up the assists he is creative.
Some even insinuated Walcott's creative.
The other side disagreed with that (side I'm on).
After all, a creative player is aware of what's going on. And a player like Valencia running down the byline and thumping in ball after ball is eventually going to create something. That is not creative but is called being hopeful.
A creative player imo. Will see runs being made, and has a wide array of passes.
His passes are calculated and varied. He can lay a player off, or split a defence. Even his runs are measured.
Intelligence is a must. And the player has to know what he is doing.
But that's my take on it.
I was just interested to see what other gooners (other posters are welcome too) views on this subject is.
What Makes A Player Creative In Your Eyes?

I'd consider that to be more of flair or inventive player, but I understand your point. The article simply states what is a creative player, the answer is simply somebody who creates chances.
Please don't try and patronise me and tell me not to reply in future, you sound obnoxious.

Typical gooners, style over substance.
Bubsy, I dont think you get it

I get it, you think creative players have to have that bit of creativity, or invention, the quality to pick a pass or a bit of genius to make something happen.
I simply suggested creating something doesn't have to use technique, skill, vision, or any of the sort, power and precision can be just as effective when creating things.
Like I said, I'd call what you call a creative player a player with good technique and vision.

it boils down to one word to describe the really gifted player on the park, weather, its creative, inventive, visionary, intelligent and or all the others bandied around from various posters, all count but to display any of these you must have that football brain, secondary to the one that lives your everyday life and all that entails, they are a rare breed and so deserve debate.
So your all right in your own point of view of the OP's question.

What Makes A Player Creative In Your Eyes
Any player who can paint a skirting board without getting it on the wallpaper is creative to me at the moment. I hate bank holidays.

I think this is a semantic notion.
As BB has already espoused, the OP and his fellow Arsenal acolytes are clearly semi-literate.
But it's ok. Arsenal has all the creative players. Valencia is not creative at all. Happy?
Oiks.

Valencia is the best out and out winger in the world.
He doesn't just smash lots of crosses in aimlessly. He will drill it across, he will loop it or simply he will look up and pass. Creative.
