Someone explain to me what this guy does so that the itv commentators believe he should be first choice on the right wing.
He appears to be pretty solid defensively but is devoid of any creativity which is not what England need in their wide positions!! Maybe play him in the centre but really does nothing offensively to worry and decent left back.
He is consistently boring which seems to be what England want!
Despite their respective flaws Walcott, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Young, Gerrard and even Downing offer more of a threat and yet he's played the whole game today!!"
This was posted by me after the Belgium game and in my opinion Milner has got even worse, given the ball away so much today. Why oh why is he a starter for us
Also I will admit I have developed a loathing for him!
Please someone explain to me what the guy does!!

If I was Walcott I'd be going barmy on the bench!

He was poor defensively today as well. Shocking that he is a certain starter for the rest of this campaign.

Incredible- the coach keeps playing him. I'm convinced england'll play better down the right if johnson has a player to act as an outlet

Milner went through on goal and missed an open goal. If that had been Theo, Waddle/Robson would have been calling him an 'athlete with a pair of football shoes' or 'a player without a football brain'.

I could not understand why he did not start with Walcott on one and the OX on the other.....Milner was headless chicken......

I seriously don't see whats so good about him. But I think Roy prefers him because of his defensive side. That's the only was England can play.

I understand about his defensive side, but even that was shocking today.
Hopefully against a much less threatening Ukraine and Sweden we will play Theo.

What annoys me even more about Milner is the number of times he hit the first man in the few times he got into a position to cross.
Theo is crucified every time for hitting the first man but Milner is forgiven by twaddle. Typical biased commentary and media push that puts so much fear in managers that newpapers pick the team.
